I visited Country Acres as a guest to a wedding very recently. It was BEAUTIFUL and they had a legit horse drawn carriage!! Within easy travel distance to Regina!

Me and my wife wanted a traditional Caballero style wedding, giving our vows via horse top, I was promised a beautiful black stallion and my wife a matching white mare, this is not what happened. The horses we saw by picture are not the horses that attended the wedding with us, they were much smaller and their coats all mangy. Not impressed.

We recently did family photos on the property, it has a country, vintage, antique vibe. Many old implements, vehicles and the red barn are available on the property for photo prop opportunities. My favourite photos were of kids sitting on old cream cans. If you are looking for a unique place to have family photographs taken, check this place out. Max was a very accommodating and positive person.

Beautiful wedding venue. Professional, scenic, and good location - close to the Regina area. If we weren't already married I would have considered using this place. Great job!

My fiancΓ© and I were looking for a one stop shop when we started planning our wedding. We located Country acres and it was truly what we wanted, a one stop shop, on a rustic farm acreage that captures the beauty of this province. The owner and manager Max, from the start was pleasant and friendly and very accommodating. Max is a sales person who ultimately is running a business for the money and misses the mark with customer service. We were disappointed to get emails weeks and days prior to our big day regarding liquor bottle sizes being improperly sized and after already having making agreements via video chat and having to change last minute. The big stressor of the whole thing was a invoice was never given, had to be asked for, given with many errors and overcharging of over $2,000, at the time she had voided her own contract as things were supposed to be done up to 30 days prior to a wedding when it was done 14 or less days. From our perspective, Max struggles under stress. We were given a horse drawn carriage to add to our wedding, which should have been an exciting and fun experience. Part of this agreement, involved capturing photos for Max’s webpage as well as the carriages. This being the exit to our ceremony, we expected our photographers which we paid for, to be able to capture the moment. However, we were met with the lady we did not know jumping in front of our photographers, ruining the ability to capture anything. This continued for the next hour while we attempted to keep ourselves composed for the shoot. Our photographers and videographer staff were met with resilience and hostility, which we were very disappointed about, since again we paid for the services, and it came with certain expectations. We would have appreciated knowing the photographer that would be doing the website and having a quick chat between all parties so this could be avoided as it certainly took away from a very important part of our day. Unfortunately this was a constant bring up when post discussions were had with Country acres, and these issues were addressed. We were told that an apology, further some general talks would be had between Max and our photographers so that there could be some resolution so that there will not be any tension that prevented cooperation between businesses and to this point, this has not been done. Many of the add-on packages, as at a high price points for what is being received, along with many of the decoration rental prices are being close to the value of the item was the purchase, which feels more like a money grab and a genuine interest in making a wedding a beautiful occasion versus a money opportunity. Another huge point was bar tips were KEPT by bartender, while she had also been paid by the venue. We feel that there’s a disconnect between customer service and making profit, being the focus. Country Acres is to make money regardless of the experience being had. If this was any other business, it would have went under by now, but it’s a one of a kind in the province. Personal experience as a bride and groom at Country acres is 4/10; overall experience for guests and wedding proceedings 7/10. Update: In regards to Max’s response. All alcohol was purchased in Saskatchewan and receipts on permit would’ve shown this. Being accused of buying out of province was not what we did at all. *All liqour was purchased within the time frame from issue of permit, following permit standard’* An apology WAS to be sent out by the venue as on the wedding day Max was yelling at our hired staff. I would also like to note that my husband, Tayte, was the one who wrote this review. This is affirms that Max is a business with only the dollar amount on her mind.

If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop for your wedding, this is your place. Max took so much work and planning off our hands with the decor available on site, basement suite, camping, ceremony and reception site. The entire staff was extremely helpful- even with things they didn’t need to be, when they saw we needed a hand, they’d step in. The whole process was really easy and took away so much stress. Everything is really well kept and taken care of there as well as organized. We had a lot of guests reaching out to us afterwards, saying they want to have their weddings there. Thanks Country Acres!

My husband and I had our dream wedding at Country Acres this past summer. The venue was exactly what we were looking for and it was super convenient to have everything in one place. We rented the house for the night before and the night of the wedding which was very helpful for getting ready, rehearsal dinner and not having to leave the premises at a certain time or take down decorations at night. Max, the owner was very helpful and arranged virtual meetings with us for our many changes and obstacles during the Pandemic and wedding planning with Covid-19 protocols always changing. Our guests were very happy with the flow of the day and everything went perfectly. The venue is a little pricey and there are quite a few add-ons to get the full experience. The tent, with bar, bathrooms and lights was absolutely perfect and unlike anything else we saw around Regina for wedding venues. We had our Ceremony in the "Secret Meadow", tree area and it was all set up and ready for us that morning. We decorated the arch, doors, pathways and aisle ourselves. The path to get to the meadow can get very muddy and it was a little stressful knowing whether we could use that location for the ceremony the day before. I hope that there will eventually be woodchips or gravel on the pathway leading to the meadow to ease some of the mud stress. Overall, I would highly recommend Country Acres Wedding and Events. It was a magical day that we will always remember and cherish.
