I have my health insurance through you and though there are some hoops to jump through you have covered more then any other insurance company has in my long life of type 1 diabetes. I really appreciate it and your great customer service!

Extremely difficult to get any answers. They do not return phone calls and the service is extremely slow. They may say it was covid like everyone but it has been like this much longer!

Takes literally forever to submit a claim. Step 1 .. print out a paper coph of your medical expense claim form to start a claim Step 2... write down on the claim form what the expense was.tgen take a picture of the filled out form Step 3.. turn expense claim form picture into a PDF format so that it can be submitted ( careful though ,if the PDF is more then 10 megabytes then you have to send a second email with the same information stating that the form pages are 1 of 2.... and 2 of 2 otherwise the claim will be refused . But wait it's not over yet .. Step 4... take a picture of your receipt ( say massage receipt) and turn into PDF format Step 5 ... email the PDF receipt Step 6.... get new insurance company that has an app .... so frustrating. My husband has Manion insurance and doesnt have to do anything but take a picture of the receipt ... too easy.

I have dealt with Coughlin since 1987and I have had nothing but the best of service. Things have changed with covid but we all need to be patient as they are doing the best they can in difficult circumstances. Keep up the great work and stay safe.

Stay away, they're useless. Your doctor who specializes in your illness can order you to be off work for a short time, and Coughlin will deny it, because their office dwellers know better than a medical professional. I'm not even entitled to benefits with them in the first place. It costs them literally nothing.

Does not respond to emails and if they do, they don't directly answer your questions; it's all canned responses. After 5 days, I am still waiting on a response to a simple question about an insurance policy I have with them. I will be looking to take my business elsewhere.

I have been with Coughlin for 5 years now for my work benefits. I had two months of quick claim turnaround before things took a downturn. Claim refunds take close to a month. With each claim I submit (and I do physio weekly), I get an automatically generated email apologizing for the delay and suggesting they will return to normal turnaround time soon. It's been 4 years...normal is SLOW, you'd think they would hire more staff. At first they said the delay was because it was the end of the year and everyone was using benefits, then they said it was busy because it was the beginning of the year and everyone was using their benefits, next it was "it's summer and everyone is using benefits"...lol. If I had the option to opt-out of this plan I would.
