About Cool Choir
Having sold her 20-year-old business in Canmore in 2019, Lee Ann and her family relocated to Cochrane in 2020! Involved with music since the age of four, Lee Ann’s journey through life thus far has always involved the musical Arts from dancing with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet to singing to playing trumpet and ukelele to Musical Director for Young Frankenstein in Canmore, the first live pit orchestra musical production for Pine Tree Players to directing Choirs. Lee Ann has been singing with the ladies acapella group In The Pink for over 20 years, has her own group Fig Fusion, sings with the Canmore Big Band and plays the trumpet and has been and still is directing the adult mixed community choir there since 2013 as well as her own Men of the Mountains Male Choir she started in 2014. Eager to embrace her new Cochrane Community musically, Cool Choir has made her dream and goal a reality!! Let’s get singing Cochrane!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought singing was something I would never do because when I tried it in my teens, I didn’t know either my voice or any songs. It took me almost 40 years and Cool Choir to find both. The three-part answer is, if you can speak, you can sing. You learn to sing alone by learning to sing with others. And the most important thing isn’t talent, it’s fun because fun, strangely enough, is how you find faith in yourself. And faith’s universal expression is song.

In addition, I have met some new friends, but the best part is that the "Costume Requirements" is only a $20 T in a colour I love. Fabulous! WENDY

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I joined this choir a year ago. I don’t read music and I could only sing in the shower?. With cool choir and Jaimie’s direction, I have the confidence to sing. Every Monday is my soul uplifting day. I have met some really special ladies and hope to continue soul Monday’s as long as I can. Only wish to have more time to also attend Wednesday and Thursday. Jamie ,I thank you for your patience and giving people like me a chance to participate without audition! A new surprise was singing bass with so many women. Not complaining, just noting the difference. Look forward to our family and friends evening and the event in May.
