β β β β β I've been coming to Cook Street Barber since they were actually on Cook Street. I've since moved to Langford and I still make the trip in town to get my hair cut here. The new location is fantastic and this is truly a staple local business. For years I've had my cuts done mainly by Rolf but have had cuts done by everyone that's come through this shop. Always the cuts have been perfect. They have recently hired a new barber, Akram, and he gas been fantastic. He has lots of ideas on how to tweak what you want to create a great end result. I honestly don't think I've had such a consultative experience before haha.

β β β β β I came in expecting a good haircut because I had seen good reviews and had had my hair cut by Rolf many years ago. Rolf was there, sitting in his chair. He seemed uninterested and directed me over to another barber. The other barber spent all of 5 minutes buzzing the sides and back of my hair (which I could have done myself at home), tried to talk me out of having any taken off the top, then proceeded to give me the worst haircut Iβve ever had. 10 minutes in the chair cost me $26. Never again!

β β β β β Everyone at this barbershop is top notch, great service, great atmosphere, and great conversation! Rolf usually cuts my hair and I cannot recommend him enough. Yes this place can get busy, like any good spot, so if you donβt want to wait the answer is simple, avoid peak hoursβ¦.

β β β β β I came in for a haircut today after putting it off for about six months, so I was pretty shaggy. Not knowing how to explain the way I like my haircut, I showed Rolf a picture of my last good haircut and he went to work. By far one of the best haircuts Iβve had since my last barbershop closed! Not only is the haircut great, but I loved the atmosphere, the conversation and the price. Iβll definitely be coming back. Thanks again Rolf!
