Convoy started back in the 1970’s, Carl & Terry Polos began sourcing and importing high quality German abrasives and tools to supply the rapidly growing manufacturing and construction market in Winnipeg. This grew them to be one of Winnipegs top industrial suppliers, attracting other product manufacturers to work with, in turn allowing them to offer up customers the best and newest products all the time!
Westcan Fasteners & the Kohlmeiers have been servicing the Canadian Fastener market for over 60 years. Their expertise in the ever growing and changing Fastener world took them to become a trusted name in the industry.
After both companies grew for decades independentley in an increasingly competitive marketplace, the Kohlmeiers looked to retire, offering up the opportunity for Convoy to combine both businesses, and to continue on spreading the abrasive & fastener knowledge for many years to come.
Now combined, operating as Convoy-Westcan Industrial Supplies & Fasteners, the Polos family is continuing on striving to expand our product selection for our customers, and to educate them on todays new & improving products. Fast forward to today, Andrew & Craig Polos carry on their family business into its third generation, bringing another level to the company which allow us to add to our customers experience!
