About Contemporary Office Interiors
Incorporated in Calgary in 1968, we have grown to include operations in Edmonton, Mississauga, Toronto, Vancouver, and Winnipeg. We are a founding member of the MillerKnoll Certified Dealer network and represent MillerKnoll exclusively across Canada.
We operate as an enterprise platform to offer an elevated level of service to our customers. The enterprise allows us the unique ability to operate as a team of teams, combining the agility of small teams in the local market with the greater resources of the enterprise to drive better outcomes for our customers. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, great prices, and mostly great people. But I had some terrible experience with a salesperson, Allan Todosichuk. He had some misguided information on shipping the item, which I don't think was his area of expertise. I was not fully informed on where and when it would ship, he didn't know, he just quoted me a price and I didn't want any hassle.
He told me he would ship the item to Vancouver, but shipped it to Surrey. He also forgot to charge for PST then later invoiced. He never apologized for the inconvenience or the misinformation. Simply said, literally, that it wasn't his problem, saying things like Vancouver, Burnaby, and Surrey is all the same to him, and he can't do anything about BC taxes. I was quite baffled at this unprofessional behavior.
Also during the sales process, he commented on my looks and that I look far too young to buy these chairs. Not sure why I stayed then, should've seen the red flag and moved on.
Anyways, the rest of the store is great and their company has some great services.

I've purchased four shell chairs for my dining room and an entire office set included refurbished Aeron Chairs and the service was exceptional. Would highly recommend for commercial or residential design!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ About 6 or so years ago I bought a refurbished Herman Miller Mirra 1 from the Edmonton location for my home office. It was an excellent value and great chair. Herman Millers are known for best-in-class quality, comfort and ergonomics and are made to last. Recently I had noticed that the chair started to tilt back without much resistance. The tilt limiter helped keep it in place but I would still be leaning back in the chair somewhat, compromising my posture.
I called one of their service sales representatives, Glenn, at the head office in Calgary and he was quick to offer expert insight and advice. It was determined that the tension knob was non-functional and would have to be replaced. The tricky thing about this is that the Mirra 2 has replaced the Mirra for quite some time and parts were no longer available from Herman Miller for my Mirra 1.
Luckily, they were able to source a gently used part from a Mirra 1 in their warehouse and sent it to the Edmonton office where the project coordinator, Amanda, was able to help with arranging the delivery and install of this part.
The service tech, Chaudhry, was prompt, courteous and professional and was able to have the chair disassembled and part installed efficiently.
The new tension knob mechanism works perfectly and I am now able to enjoy the full benefits of my Herman Miller Mirra for many years to come.
Thank you to Glenn, Amanda, Chaudhry and the team at Contemporary Office Interiors in Edmonton & Calgary. Highly recommended, I wouldn't shop for office furniture anywhere else!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having to work from home the last few years, I purchased an used Aeron chair which eventually needed some repairs. It turns out the chair was 20 years old. Not only did Service Techs have all the necessary parts in stock, they repaired the chair in two days at a very reasonable price. I love my Aeron chair even more now than when i bought it.
