★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the bureaucracy of Romania ends up being reflected here, and though the consulate staff tries their best to reduce the backs and forts, it's the unfriendly software and the un-optimized processes that make it very slow and painful to answer to client's demands. I'm not blaming the staff, actually I admire them for their nerves and fast response.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible service! I avoid at all cost to reach them! You call to ask a question and if you are lucky to reach them, there is a lady who is always screaming at you for no reason! My assumption is the working there is based on nepotism and knowing the right people, definitely not by how well you do your job because its been years since she has been screaming at people. Customer service is not bad, is horrible! And more recently-making an appointment with them is complicated- you have to sign that you know which papers you need before you have your appointment, but there is no place where those papers are mentioned. It makes me feel that it would be easier to go to Romania to get my stuff done there than have the service I deserve here. It's crazy! I honestly cannot believe there are people that gave it 5 stars, just because come on-I don't know what consulate they went to.
P.S.. Don't try to write them an email because they will not bother to answer you! You have a better chance to write to the call center in Romania.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid at any costs! Incompetence and laziness skid happily holding hands.
I tend to believe that their incompetence is not a mistake. It`s just the way they hold Romania in middle ages. A simple Passport renewal can turn into a taste reminder of Romania.

One star it's too much for the service they provide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once again at the Consulate, this time helping my elderly aunt to get some notarial document. Again, the lady (which I don't know the name, unfortunately) was an angel of patience and helped my aunt as if she was her mother. Really impressive every time (I am not a reviews person, but this is outstanding so I give a second review in a short period of time).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would give them minus infinitum if I could. I had to write a letter to the Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs so that they contact me. Still, they did not followed up on documents we have to modify and now we need to write another letter to the same minister. Unacceptable!! Shame on you! No wonder foreign business people do not invest inRomania, you are a shame for the country and the good hard working people doing their best!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No wonder Romania doesn't make any progress. For something very simple as a passport renewal, you need absolutely every single document you have. Lots of them. To pickup your new passport, you have to come at 3 p.m. Very inconvenient to drive downtown at that hour, no parking spots left, and is a two minutes formality anyway. The place is too busy for just two employees, I really think they deserve the money they make. The lady working all documents is standing all day long. The Minister should consider more employees for Montreal, we are a large community now.
Overall, a not so friendly reminder of why you left the country.
