The people are wonderful but i went in to get change a roll of loonies and a roll of quarters. They shorted me 2 loonies and 3 quarters. Tried to call the branch but no one will pick up the phone and the voicemail sounds unprofessional and not even sure if she said the bank name in her voicemail and apparently she isnt working this week? I know the bank is open but no one will ever answer the phone? Dont trust that they can count because they can't.

Branch manager Gio was a huge help getting me set up on the app and new online system after the IT team botched the "upgrade". He was a big help, great service.

I've been banking with this location for decades. I've rarely had a problem. All the tellers are very kind. Clean bright environment. The people in the back doing loans and accounts are very well versed in their work making the process fast and painless. Will always recommend this Credit Union for peoples personal and business banking needs.

Signed up with First Calgary at this location after being a long time Servus credit union member. The process was painless and the staff was friendly. I look forward to transitioning everything over to first Calgary in the coming months! The free unlimited account they are currently offering is unbeatable!

I’m from the Edmonton region looking to relocate down to Calgary in a couple of months. I booked an appointment with Calgary First through the phone via call centre. I asked 3 different representatives if it was okay that I had an Edmonton ID, all said yes. The day of my appointment, 2:00 Saturday April 3rd, location 540 16 ave NE attached to the Co-op. The financial advisor I was meeting with told me through email that they would not be able to process my request since I’m not within Calgary. At this point I’m already within Calgary 20 minutes away from the credit union. I called Robert Dale who was in charge of my account and he kept telling me he would not help me. Referring me to go to different financial institutions. I asked him if he could just try since multiple people within his company said it was okay. NOPE, he told me multiple times β€œIt’s illogical you would drive down for this appointment.” Then β€œDo you not know how to read? Our business name has CALGARY in it.” And β€œIve worked in this business for 5-6 years. Ive never tried to open an account from an Edmontonian but I can tell you it won’t work, it’s illogical.” This is in the span of 3 minutes. After the 5th time he made a snarky comment I snapped and told him β€œI didn’t ask for your ****ing opinion, stop making me sound like an idiot.” He then hung the phone on me and cancelled my appointment. Not only did he do that, I called the branch a couple of times after that and they would not pick up. This is bad customer service and I don’t understand why anyone would allow this to happen to someone. Made me feel like an idiot, wouldn’t do anything for me and then denies anyone in the branch to help me. I drove 3 hours down for this appointment.

There's been some bumps with the switch from First Calgary to Connect first such as the wait times on the phone increasing. Thankfully you still have the option to call your branch directly which is really nice. The 16th Ave (TransCanada) location in particular I think has absolutely stellar customer service. The branch manager there Jenny has really had my back when dealing with their credit card provider Collabria through some issues. I truly believe the staff at this location is top notch and always giving their best effort. I've also been living in Edmonton for the last couple years where they don't have a physical branch and it has never been an issue for me!

I've always had a pleasant experience banking here, even when it was First Calgary. The staff have been friendly and efficient, and available to answer any questions. HOWEVER Ever since First Calgary switched to Connect First, the banking app/online banking experience has become hot garbage. It feels like the systems go down for "scheduled maintenance" at least once a month, but the bugs are never fixed. The app has been down for 2 days now with no warning and Connect First has not sent out any communications about it via email or even social media, seemingly unaware of the issues. I know that this is a corporate issue and not related to the service at this branch, however the terrible online banking experience is enough to turn me off of this bank completely and has me considering switching banks. I simply cannot recommend this bank in the year 2021 with a digital experience this brutal.
