★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Straight forward, usually quick, as it isn't too busy. Self sort, they have covid measures in place so sorting is outside. The workers answer all questions and tried to help me the best they could.

Not much to say about a return centre, but when they are busy there is not really anywhere to park and sort, and getting the carts from the main parking lot back into the building can be a challenge, but this is largely due to people who don't know how to park.
If you have a lot to return and this location is packed busy, you might want to go down into Courtenay where there is more space.

They deal with unclean bottles and cans, wasps in the summer and an endless barrage of the same questions from people like me ("does this go here?", "Do you take this?", etc). They always have a smile, are friendly and never make you feel like you flunked a recycling course. Please tip them well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Should be called: "Not a recycle depot" On my last visit in the summer I was told that they don't take recycling anymore. I asked 3 times if it was temporary because of staffing shortage. They sad no more.
It used to be great place to do the right thing. After months of making sure to keep garbage to a minimum I'm not able to recycle it and be stuck with it because garbag collection doesn't take recycling . That's what happens when you can't shipp all your junk to Asia? Staff was always very nice and helpful although no one knew at my last visit where to bring styrofoam, soft plastic etc and Cumberland waste station is not an option. Gone are the days of a shopping bag of garbage a week to a full can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible. The owner is always so rude to me and other customers and half the time they don’t even take what they’re supposed to because they’re so unorganized. It’s a disgrace. Parking is terrible as well, understaffed, etc. never visit this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is totally unreliable and screwed. I can understand the wanting of the empties to be organized and displayed for purposes of making their job more manageable. However, I go there to do recycling, then all the sudden they won't take the plastic bags that mostly everybody has their cans in.! Horribly ridiculous of a 'RECYCLING CENTRE'.! Parking is also a issue, as there are no lines 'visible', not to mention there is no disability parking anywhere near there.
