★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very challenging hike, with limited road access. Mosaic Forest Management only allows access to this trailhead during the weekend and closes the gate at 7pm every Sunday. We came back on Monday and had to pay a 120 fee to have black bear towing come out and open it for us. The entire hike can be done in one day if someone is physically fit enough, but we did it in two, and camped up at frog lake. The views of the valley are amazing, and the glacier was so spectacular but has definitely shrunk so much over the years. You can see one other glacier right before you summit nestled underneath a mountain nearby. Overall amazing experience, and would do it again.
