I can say that the management team and staff are committed to the safety, security of the staff, residents and the neighborhood that it is situated in. The training , support, follow up as been excellent, this all being done in some very trying times during a pandemic . I look forward to my continuing employment in a field where you feel you are making a difference

Their leaving is very hard won and not something that happens quickly. Each resident has a unique action plan developed by CSC, Parole Officers, BMH Director, and Caseworkers. Progress reports are weekly and monthly. As well as following their action plan, each man must navigate a strange city, seek and gain employment, and start to establish new relationships that support leading a crime free lifestyle. Every step of the way is scrutinized and monitored. The support, encouragement, and genuine care from BMH can humbly share a small part of their success at re-integrating into society.

Over a 30 year period and 100's of entries there is not one negative comment. This answers the question we continually ask ourselves. Are our efforts contributing to publlc safety and helping people transition in a meaningful way.

It's challenging work and clearly not the right choice for everyone. This facility goes unrecognized for their contribution to public safety. Management made it clear from day one that this was the top priority.

The residents get home cooked dinners seven days a week and are independent. This is my first job out of customer service and has been nothing but enjoyable.

This is the best halfway house in BC and this is known in the prisons. I can say that they ensure the staff that work there are professional and competent.

The staff are all incredibly friendly, positive, and committed to safety while also going above and beyond in terms of providing residents with the necessary tools support to set them up for success. The cooks are incredible and provide outstanding meals 7 days a week. The management has been nothing short of fantastic. Management is always on-call to answer questions or concerns. They give honest and fair feedback to all staff and work closely with staff to help them improve and grow. Discussion and new idea's are encouraged.
