Recently Jessica was my lawyer dealing with a driving offence. To be honest Jessica was the best lawyer i have ever dealt with. Not only did she go way above and beyond for me, she did an amazing job with my case and the resolution was better than anything I could ever hope for. Most lawyers I've dealt with have been a little greedy and haven't really cared about me but Jessica honestly proved to care about me and my situation for her you can tell her clients actually come first and it's not just about making money. I was charged with a DUI and lawyer Jessica Read was able to bargain with the Crown and get my charge altered to careless driving with a few other conditions, resulting in no criminal charge on my behalf. They were able to appear for me in court meaning I didn’t have to miss work to sort things out, which meant a lot to me. When I got a DUI and refusal charge, my entire life seemed like it was falling apart in front of me. I thought that this was going to stay on my record forever and I would always have this hanging over my head, and that it would always get in the way of all my future plans and goals. But then I called Jessica. She immediately made me feel at ease about the situation and from the beginning I felt like I had made the right decision when I hired her to represent me. Jessica really came through for me. I came out of this with absolutely NO CHARGES! Both charges were dropped and I was able to walk away from this mess with a clean slate and resume life like it was before I was charged. If there is a problem with your case, she will find it! For the first time in my life I was in an unfortunate situation and needed to retain a lawyer. I took a couple days and researched a bunch of law firms until I settled with this one. The reason was simple. When I called around to a bunch of law firms they all promised me the moon. My case was a slam dunk and no issues they told me. Just give us your money and we are set. Made me feel uneasy. Then I got a call back from Dean. He told me one thing. He wouldn’t promise me anything, but what he told me was references to case law and how things could play out. The good, the bad, and the probable. What he also told me is he wouldn’t handle my case. Either Jessica or Jason would because they are experts in case law in my situation. I talked to my wife and we agreed. We were going to the law firm who actually talked the law with us, told us all possible outcomes, and promised to fight for the best result. They were the ones that made my family feel comfortable because they built a level of trust from the onset from being honest and not telling me what I wanted to hear but what I needed to. I am so happy I did. They got me the most favourable outcome in my situation and I can move on with my life(and finally get some sleep due to my stress being gone). I want to thank Jessica for taking on my case and always answering my questions with a personal call. She was patient, attentive, and a source of comfort for myself and my family in this difficult time. I also want to thank Annette and Alyce as they were my go to for anything I needed when I had questions, and if they needed to cascade something up they did and Jessica got back to me the same day. Never did I have a question that wasn’t answered the same day. Working in the corporate world I understand that people like Alyce and Annette are clearly the “glue” to a successful law firm.
