β β β β β Booked an eye exam a week prior. Came in at 11:25 for my 11:30 appointment. Was made to wait thirty minutes at which point I inquired about my appointment. I was told that I came in late and that maybe the doctor could squeeze me in after another 15 minutes. What is the point of booking appointments if you donβt honour them? On top of that, the woman was rude and tried to make it seem like I was late when I was not. I would not recommend this establishment. There are several other similar stores on the same block.

β β β β β I've been coming to College Street Optical for decades to get my glasses & contact lens. Owners & staff, for me, over the years, think about solutions on what's best for you, based on your lifestyle & habits, for your vision care. They introduced me to my first pair of titanium frames after learning my previous purchases at a discount optician were breaking at the pressure points. Although I no longer live in the neighbourhood, I continue to go back every 2 years for new glasses.

β β β β β Friendly service, I was able to special order a set of frames that they don't normally carry without a problem. They were patient and able to explain all the differences in lenses etc. I needed some adjustments after my glasses came in, they did it with no fuss. I bump in them on the street occasionally and they always say hi and ask how my glasses are. I will be going back.

β β β β β Great range of glasses that are stocked to suit your face rather than just whatβs on trend. Been looking for new glasses and every store is just those big round glasses and they all look the same. This store has great branded frames that suit my face. Louise was patient and helped us find our style. Recommend this store if youβre trying to find your style rather than wearing what every 20 year old is wearing.

β β β β β Great customer service. I encountered 4 people who work here and every person was helpful and kind. The optician, Sheldon, helped me pick out a pair of glasses while also considering my student budget. Given my positive experience, I took my partner to get new glasses here and the optician who helped him was also great.
College street optical often has deals (i.e. $90 off a pair of glasses, 50% off frames etc.). I find the quality of the glasses very good.

β β β β β Amazing customer service, and great prices. Iβve been running around looking for a place that would take my insurance, and have reasonable prices. Found a perfect frame at a great price with Sheldonβs much appreciated help and advice. Smooth and quick transaction with no complications at all. Cant wait to pick up my glasses!

β β β β β Iβve been coming here for years. Even when moving made it inconvenient. I may only need to refill my contacts twice a year or so, but the care and attention to which my needs are considered is unparalleled. I finally decided to review after an unfortunate situation occurred that was handled impeccably. My contacts were ordered and shipped to my condo. My condo concierge βsaid I picked them upβ during the holidays, to which I responded that I hadnβt. They mustβve given my package to someone else or simply misplaced it. When I called College Street Optical, Susan answered and heard me out and immediately secured 5 days of daily lenses to tie me over. She then contacted the supplier and explained the scenario and they graciously decided to replace my contacts at no cost to me. Iβm not writing this review because she figured out how to get me a free replacement of product. Iβm writing because she didnβt have to. And I didnβt expect her to. It just goes to show how incredible some people are with others. And during a rough couple of years of division within our society, and a service industry that has so deteriorated in its attention to clients; College Street Optical hasnβt wavered in their service or care.
