β β β β β Terrible customer service... you can call for daaaays with no one to answer your call, or ever call you back; no leniency for payment relief; incompetent service providers (after a week of calling over 40 times, finally spoke with one employee about renewing my mortgage for a few weeks as I was closing the sale of my house... said paperwork would be done and emailed that day...nope... 2 days later, i called 20+ times to get a hold of ANYONE); if you are in the process of selling your home as your mortgage expires (after being a perfect customer for 5 years) , rates more than double just for you, with an added bonus of a $200 fee for an open mortgage for an extra couple of weeks!! WTF... How's that for a "thanks for being our customer"... would not recommend ever. This is a zero star rating.

β β β β β Very unpleasant company to deal. Not flexible. All about locking you in. You won't be able to break their mortgage even if you are willing to pay a penalty.

β β β β β Excellent communication with customer service for inquiry and for mortgage renewal. Did by email and phone for renewal and by email for general inquires. Locked in a rate in May and by the time it came for renewal date in August, the rate had dropped! They automatically gave me the lower rate. Rates were lower than my broker could find me at other lenders. Would recommend.

I was doing a mortgage renewal with CMLS and for some reason my paperwork wouldnβt come through, she kept in contact with me the entire time and made sure everything was done properly. β β β β β I had a terrible experience with my lender Carmello in the last 5 years of his service. Every time Iβd contact him he would refer me to contact head office. He is not service oriented. Iβm up for renewal and called the 1-800 #. I spoke to Dharma. She made a world of difference with service, integrity, reliability and professionalism. Thanks to Dharma, I renewed my mortgage with CMLS. CMLS is very fortunate to have her on their team as she gives value to the company.

β β β β β Overall very satisfied with CMLS. We were told on the onset they do have higher fees for buying out early and getting additional statements for payout etc. We went with them to get our home and we qualified through a broker with no issues. Four years later a year before our term we remortgaged and I had great experiences multiple times with they're customer service to get our payout statement etc. They're online portal is great and otherwise we had no issues with our mortgage here. We choose to go with another company just because they didn't offer much for refinancing options which is why I'm giving four instead of five stars.
