★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best beer in Nanaimo. The Cosmic session is my fave -- super crisp with a little bit of malt. Their main bar keep with the big beard is super nice and knows his beer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered taster glasses for a Christmas gift. No where on the website did they say they don't deliver, infact I have screen shots of the purchase saying they would be delivered the following day, realizing something maybe up I gave it a day and reached out to touch base and see what was happening with my order. Andrew from Cliffside then informs me they don't do delivery and that he will look to see if I can be refunded... it has now been a few days and have yet to hear back to be explained why a refund is only a possibility and not a sure thing. From all the awesome reviews I assume this is a one off, but the whole thing has certainly left a sour taste.
I changed my first review from 1 star to 5, as Andrew got in touch and confirmed he had taken care of me. Indeed he had. I do hope to get a chance to pick up a few wobblies and taster cups when I'm back on the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I had a great time at this brewery! The beers are great. They were well rounded, made with care, and attention to flavour! Better beer than white sails tbh.
They also have wings now which are oven baked and tasty af. Seasoned just right!
Our server Alyssa was a treat! She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and could hold conversation well!
The only thing I could say is that the hours should be more consistent and there should be more obvious signage put out on the road for traveller's.
Would recommend this space ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing family business! Was looking for a gift for someone in Nanaimo and found Cliffside via Google. I messed up the order online somehow but the owner noticed and called me to sort things out. He then had his father deliver it for me. Not sure if this is how things work normally but it was one of the best purchase experiences I have had in a while. You can tell they care. Can't wait to try the beer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Cliffside. Despite its grungy exterior, it is quite cozy inside (and has a lovely patio when the weather is nice).
This pub takes a no-nonsense approach by offering a nice variety of flavourful beers (brewed on site) as well as a small selection of tasty chicken wings and other snacks.
I highly recommend Cliffside for all times of day and night, whether you just want to grab a beer by yourself, meet up with friends, or bring a date!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great selection of beers even the lemonade one, I heard, not so much the Scope mint flavor Gose. I really enjoyed all 4 beers IPA's and Ales I tried were super, highly recommend.
