All told us that we don’t have any chance for a mortgage as we are newcomers on student visas with a limited financial record. We continued talking to different realtors until we ran to Clay. Not only he didn’t turn us down, but he also introduced us to a financial advisor of Scotia bank, Stewart Douglas, who greatly helped us in receiving a good mortgage from Scotia. While following the mortgage process, we visited around 50 homes before we decide to buy ours, for which Clay and his team patiently arranged the visits and accompanied us in early mornings, late afternoons, and even holidays. Also despite of what we’ve heard from our friends about some other realtors, Clay never pushed us to buy a specific house, and managed to create a very professional yet sincere and honest relation. I do believe that Clay and his team have a gift in evaluating the value of the houses and are very keen in finding advantages and disadvantages of a house. Generally, we had a great experience with Clay, and we would suggest his realtor group to our friends (as we did in past) without any hesitation.

I had basically no knowledge of the various areas in Calgary and surrounding, and I had very little time to find a place I could afford. I was using Realtor.ca to look for properties in my price range when I luckily stumbled on one of Clay's listings, so I called him to discuss it. Clay got right back to me and gave me the name of his associate, Travis Churchman. I called Travis, and after chatting with him for about 20 minutes I could tell that he understood what I was looking for and had some very good ideas. I sent him a list of properties I thought might work, and he set up all kinds of appointments for me on a Saturday. My girlfriend and I traveled down and met up with him and he drove us all over looking at houses, and we all got along great! He knew all the neighborhoods well and helped us figure out where we wanted to be, what the traffic would be like, etc. Travis is just a great guy, and was critical in helping me find a house in a short time. I could not have done it without him, and I could not be happier with my service from him. Highly recommended!

He helped make what could have been a rather stressful experience into a smooth and simple one. The transaction was easy and he guided me through every step of the process. I have just had a very unfortunate and most unprofessional experience with Clay. Does anybody know where Dutch Creek is? I'll tell you. It's about 3.5 hours South of Calgary. This is where I drove in from to meet Clay for a confirmed viewing appointment. It was a 4 hour drive to Airdrie.......to be stood up. No courtesy call, no text beforehand. 10 minutes after the appointment was to start, I receive a question about whether dogs are allowed in the unit. If not, the viewing is cancelled. To recap, I drove 4 hours to meet a Realtor who did not even bother to read the MLS listing or cancel the appointment. Very disappointing lack of professionalism. People who think their time is worth more than that of others really tick me off.
