Been passing by this restaurant for so long that I decided to try it. First that I noticed was the woman at the front desk, courteous and kind. Instead of having a takeout, I decided to eat in instead. I always respect a restaurant that give you a pot of tea instead of just one glass. So, that's already a positive sign. I ordered the spicy bone-in chicken, red chili, garlic some sort of grains and cilantro. I liked it but the serving was quite generous so I have to pack up the leftover. I was craving for crispy noodles, so I got their crispy noodle with chicken. Just what I was hoping for. Chunks of chicken breast, bochoy and nice noodles. I want to come back to try other dishes.

For Chaozhou cuisine, this is Ok. We ordered the marinated duck, tofu, egg, intestines. The marination is only on the surface. Sweet and Sour Pork is all fatty pork. Oyster Egg Pancake is not bad. They chose to use less seasoning as we could tell based on the many dishes. Service wise itโ€™s acceptable for Chinese restaurant. The bill for 8 persons come to $212 and thatโ€™s not bad, just felt we could eat else where for not much more. If you need Chaozhou cuisine, this is pretty much the only place still around.

Overall mixed-bag experience. The menu had some dishes we rarely saw at other restaurants and we jumped on a few. The food taste and quality was alright, although the prices were more on the expensive side. The restaurant was very small, and the atmosphere/look of the place was average. Be aware that the staff mainly speak mandarin and english.

IVE HAD BETTER AT THE MALL FOODCOURTS ANYWHERE!!! Ordered on SkipTheDishes. Was missing food from my order. I paid well over $80 total. Iโ€™m staying in a hotel for the night. Every other place Iโ€™ve ever ordered Chinese food from in the past always gave soy sauce, plum sauce and chopsticks. This place didnโ€™t. I feel like they really cheap for no reason? Also, there was no fortune cookies? Iโ€™m confused. Also, do not get me started on the criticism for the food. Read the reviews people!!! I didnโ€™t. And I really wish I did.

We went around after 6:30pm. Luckily it was not busy and the chef came out for a chat. It was authentic ๆฝฎๅทž (Chiu-Chow) cuisine. We went there just to try out their specialty since the chef is from there. We tried fried sweet taro dessert, Beef noodles, etc. It was so good. We would definitely go back again.

Buyers beware!!! This is one of the worst Southern Chinese you can go to. First of all, half of the tufu they serve is sour, indicating unsafe food storage in the kitchen. Secondly, they got 2 of our dishes wrong even though we called a day in advance. The front counter remembered our conversation but refuse to admit fault. Overall, this restaurant serves rotten food and is way overpriced.

I used eat lots of Chiu Chow cuisine when I was growing up in Hong Kong, but in Greater Vancouver they are very rare. After reading the reviews I have decided to give it a try. I was preparing for the worst, but still hoping to have some good food. I know their restaurant is small, so I decided to arrive early at around 5pm for dinner, luckily I did, because they got busy around 6pm. After I sat down, I did notice some odd smell, smell like old furniture, I shifted my focus on the food, they arrived fairly quickly (one of the benefits of having dinner early). The marinated tofu was good, the intestines are just ok. Oyster omelette was awesome, worth every penny, taste like what I had in Hong Kong. The gai lan was good. Chiu chow style noodles was not bad too. I think they are misunderstood, because they are a authentic Chiu chow style Chinese restaurant, but they try to do too much, and serve North American style Chinese food, which they are not good at. They should stick to what they do best, so they donโ€™t disappoint people who are simply looking for good food.

Soy Goose meat was not up to standard only salty you can't taste another herbs inside. Chiu Chou Beef rice noodles can't taste the smell of "Wok" aslo Satay sauce wasn't put enough in the noodles. Very disappointed as I drove all the way from other city to this restaurant waiting to try their Chiu Chou Dishes and I invited a friend with me since there were many good rating here. The waitress there only speak mandarin and wasn't that friendly. I would say : Cold service . Anyway. No next time. I would pay little more find something better in Richmond.
