Food was delicious! It was a bit of a wait to get our food because they were extremely busy, but it was so worth it.

Best place in South Calgary if you are craving for Filipino food. Authentic home-cooked style Filipino cuisine! Orders may take time to be served as these are cooked fresh. Parking space not a problem. Can be crowded at times, but worth the wait if you really want to taste yummy food. Best Crispy Pata in town and their Batchoy is great! Highly recommended!

Observation and comment: The food server/waitress was good and was doing her best. She however needs help. Need to add another person to assist her as the take out business itself is also doing so well and therefore is a major part of the workload.

I went here during covid and the place was fairly empty. That being said, our server was attentive and the service quick. Their covid protocol was a bit questionable. Most of the cooking staff was not wearing mask and was talking to each other as you would expect in a kitchen but all I could think about are the droplets of spit entering food as they prepared them. Our table was also wiped down with a cloth but I was unsure if the cloth had disinfectant nor did they sprayed disinfecting solution on our table prior to wiping it down. The food was also just ok, nothing special. Nothing was bad, just ok.... We had sisig, lechon kawali and lumpiang sariwa during our visit. The lumpia came out of the kitchen already split which was a bit disappointing cuz I haven’t had these in a while and I really wanted to take a good photo of it. Alas, there was a gaping hole on one of them... I was also disappointed with the lack of sawsawan. In a typical Filipino restaurant, you would usually get an assortment of sawsawan when you order something fatty like lechon kawali (ei something sour like vinegar based sauce or pickled papaya salad), we didn’t get that with our dish. I did asked for spicy vinegar but it wasn’t even spicy...

I had the "chicken mami" soup, it was really good and you must know that regular size here is huge, can't imagine how big the large size is!!!

Visiting our friends from Edmonton and this was the closest Filipino resto to their place. We ordered an hour ahead and our food was ready when I got there. For the amount of food we ordered, I would say the value was worth it. You get the Filipino food staples like lumpia, bistek, kawali, and sisig. The lechon kawali we noticed they probably used peanut oil to fry it as it gave a distinct nutty taste to the fried pork. The usual taste for the kawali is basically that bacon-esque salty taste. With the nutty after taste surely gave it an edge. I'm not sure if this was intentional but I liked it. For sure this caters to the Filipinos who grew up with the food and the flavours. Not so sure if a person outside that culture would want to try it but I definitely recommend this place. The only downside was the fresh lumpia. There are so many versions on how this fresh lumpia is done and this was not the flavour we were looking for. Fresh lumpia is almost always difficult to catch that main taste. It is even challenging for me to exactly explain the taste in writing. I would shy away from ordering that. I will have to update my review as soon as we can have the chance to dine in.

I have been craving for filipino food since we don’t have lots of filipino restaurants in Tampa. If there’s one it’s just an β€œokay” taste nothing special and over priced. Today, I found the true taste from home. This restaurant was highly recommended by a close friend of mine who’s from here. So i ordered Crispy Pata and Sizzling Bulalo. It was way beyond my expectation. Their crispy pata has the crispiest skin, soft and moist meat and the sizzling bulalo is superb. I wasn’t scared to serve it to my mother in law (who’s canadian) and my husband who i rate is on the picky side. So yeah! Will definitely come back and try different menu. To everyone who reads this review, please try their food. Not to mention their reasonable price. Very friendly people too. Love this place.

Ordered their fresh lumpia. The lumpias were delicious and they are generous for the serving (3 lumpia for $12). Came during the dinner time, and place was super busy. Definitely think they need more staff especially the waiter/server. My food took 45 mins to be done and another 45 mins to have my food packed and pay the bill. I had hoped my lumpia’s were a bit warmer than what I had received especially for waiting that long. I had no problem waiting and being patient, however felt terrible for the server running everywhere. Lost a star due to the rude comments by the owner on these reviews.
