Go early, sun goes behind the mountains around 4 , so it makes for a great day . The drive is my fav, absolutely stunning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here January 21 2020 The road all the way there was plowed. The entrance gate was locked for the season but you can park and walk in by foot. Being the area was covered in snow, the walk to the beach is a bit more tedious. But once there, it's beautiful. Breezy when I was there, but beautiful scenery no less.
