★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This beach is rarely ever crowded and normally sheltered from the wind. Great place for children to place. Soft sand and shallow waters. In the off season it is a great place to run and swim dogs. Free parking always.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looking for a beach as much like Port Hardy and Parksville beaches now that I'm living in Courtenay. Making my way South along the maps to find my new place to go. Started at Williams Beach.
Best Place For Beach Walks!
Kye Bay fulfills many of my needs in that one of my major ones is a low tide sand beach area I can walk along and out to. We went at a perfect time and you can see that the tide is out and there is a large span of sandy beach. So beautiful!
The were several families there with children and the children seemed to enjoy the small playground at the parking lot entrance. There is also a quaint community of housing in the area and we found a Little Library down one of those roads. A perfect place to grab a book to read on the beach. Leave a book next time you're in the area - I will be doing the same!
It was a little chilly even in the sun with the time of year and strong winds but very happy to find this spot, enjoyed our time there today and looking forward to coming back for beach walks.
