★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog is used to stay in pet resorts and kennels before. But, he did not like this place. He had a frightened look while I came to pick him and he slept a lot after coming home, which was very unusual.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried several pensions for my dogs before Monteristo, and I can say that Monteristo are real professionals. This is the only pension my dogs have been calm and happy. The cages area are incredibly clean and tidy as never seen at any other pension before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog stayed here for 5 days in May, it is now 3 weeks later and she is still demonstrating behaviour she never had before. She cries all day long, and hides in my closet, and behind the sofa for no reason at all. She never did this before, this behaviour is completely out of her norm. I am not impressed and frankly very concerned now.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog, Kano, had a great experience here. They even shared a photo of him on their Facebook page while he was there and he had a HUGE smile on his face. No issues after leaving him there for a week. There are some other places where my dog came back with dry skin spots and weirdly aggressive all of a sudden towards other dogs for a couple of days. They know what they are doing at Chenil Monteristo! :) We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My dog (a large samoyed) stayed there a few days and seemed to have a positive experience. She was calm, happy and clean when we picked her up. The facilities are nice and clean and the staff was friendly. However, I was less impressed by the fact that all is done by hand as there's no computer (they even kept the original copy of the proof of vaccination on file during the stay). It is also important to know that you will be charged the full 24 hour fee even if your dog does not spend the night (as an example, if you pick them up in the afternoon when you dropped them off the morning before, you would be charged 2 days so a total of 70$ during Christmas time), a system that was not well explained on their website or even in person.
