M	Mach Fiver on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little hardware store with a really large well priced selection of tools and hardware. And very reasonable shiiping times for out of stock or items not carried in store. And the prices are very competitive with any of the larger chains. They are a Mom and Pop type store that remember your name and what you've bought in the past and seem genuinely interested in how your past projects have worked out. They are knowledgeable about the things they sell and can help you make the right choices with what you need to get your job done. I know this may be sounding like I am a paid commercial but nothing could be further from the truth. I believe in supporting smaller businesses but won't if they suck just read about some of my other reviews. But if a business deserves it especially a smaller one then I do what I can to promote them. Even if it costs an extra buck for the same item from a Walwort or The Homeless Despot it's worth it to spend your money at the smaller place. Corporate giants kill our community's small home town businesses so support you mom and pops.

It's has corporate pricing and is very convenient in our neighbourhood, but they are not very well stocked because they are so small and the staff seem very unhappy and all look like they wish they were anywhere else. It's a 50/50 gamble to see if they have what you need. Even though they have a covid 19 shield at the cash register and markings on the floor, none of the staff that I encountered practice social distancing. In fact they seem to get right in your face and the don't wear gloves or masks. So I will pass on this place. Follow up: I see that the owner/manager wrote a reply taking a defensive "your rubber and I'm glue" or " I'm awesome and you'll a troll" stance. I believe the reason why this place is like it is, is do to the mismanagement of the person who wrote the reply. "He duth protest too much, methinks". Instead of trying to take constructive feedback to better the store conditions, he gets defensive and gives adolescent replies, like this was some sort of teenager social media site.

Competitive prices for a decent selection of hardware, you can save a trip out of town to Canadian Tire or HH for most things by heading to Ace. The staff is also knowledgeable and friendly.

He was easy to talk to and did not pressure me. Easy to communicate with and to plan despite doing it all over the phone. Even when he didn't have something in stock he looked around and made it happen and arranged for delivery. More importantly even after I made a mistake with my order he helped fixed it. Definitely A+ customer service. Not something I got from some of the other places on the island.

She was amiable and helpful to the extent that she could. I will have to go to a different store to get the parts I need. But that happens time to time.
