The tour was much quicker than we thought…we did the whole thing in 30 mins. A lot of empty rooms but you could admire the mouldings and the ceilings. A few rooms had the original furniture and setting which was pretty cool.

Château Dufresne, 1918 by Marius Dufresne and Jules Renard The mansion was designed by the owner himself and the Parisian architect Jules Renard in the Beaux-Arts style. The architects based their plans on the Petit Trianon on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles in France.

Beautiful home that must have been something to be able to live in! The incredible detail in the wood ceilings, velvet wall coverings, wood moldings, doors, etc. are absolutely gorgeous. If you appreciate beautiful architecture and lavish bourgeois style, I think you'll enjoy this château. The employees are also around as you tour to answer any questions you may have, but you're also supplied with an interactive touch-screen tablet with audio clips to guide you through as you make your way through the rooms on both sides of the château. Worth the visit!

Nice castle for those who enjoy the architecture of baroque/renaissance era. It is recommended to visit, located near the botanical garden, where you learn about the city's history.

Gorgeous mansion Interesting history about Dufresne family and their beautiful house. Each and every corner of the house are beautifully designed. There are paintings on the ceiling and on glass doors. Even radiators are so beautiful. Free parking in front of the entrance. You will get an electronic tab to guide you through the building. It has an audio description about each room (you can select English or French) Staff is really friendly. For anyone who like history and beautiful mansions this would be an ideal visit.
