The Residence is smaller than most, it has this intimate feel, which allows for residents and staff to foster meaningful relationships and to be fully engaged. At The Colonial, seniors are as supported in remaining fully independent, as they are to safely and comfortably age in place. The residence has a wide array of care and services available, which are personalized to meet one's individual needs. My favorite structural features, among many, are the lovely French doors by the fire place in the lounge, as well as this beautiful accessible deck, where residents can sit to enjoy the sun and nature. Management and staff are diligent and 100% committed to ensuring safety and making people's lives better!

Jacquie Platten, Retirement Living Consultant at Colonial, was very helpful in making sure the transition was a smooth and easy one. The building and the suites are clean and keep within all COVID guidelines. The staff has been extremely attentive and caring towards her. It really feels like a home and I know she will be safe and looked after for years to come. Thank you so much to the whole Colonial team for making what can be a stressful time much easier on my family & I. I would absolutely recommend Chartwell Colonial to anyone!
A	Alexi Delavigne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started working at Colonial in the middle of the Covid pandemic, but when I saw all the safety measures in place (including surgical masks, eye protection, weekly COVID testing for staff, and daily surface disinfecting) to keep the staff and residents healthy I felt and continue to feel comfortable going into work knowing steps are taken every day to keep our building virus free. I look forward to seeing our residents every day and forming connections with them. Because Colonial is a smaller home, it allows myself and the other staff to get to know each individual as well as their families, and to connect to them personally. I've learned that each of our residents has something special to offer, and it's a joy getting to know them. I am so impressed by all of the staff at Colonial, they are all highly skilled, hard working, and above all they truly care about our residents. From our GM to our newest residents, at Colonial we are one team, all working towards the same goal of making people's lives BETTER.

I have recommended Chartwell Colonial to several people over the years and all of them happily reside in the retirement home enjoying all the services and amenities provided by the home.

Without exception, all the staff are genuinely friendly, caring, respectful, and show such pride in their work. This positivity just flows over to the residents. I must admit that THIS is the only place I would let my mom live. I am yet to hear one of the resident complain of bad tasting food, or that a staff did not respect their choices. Every resident I interacted with were so pleasant! This is by far an extra-ordinary phenomenon! WOW!! Not to mention that this is the first place I have ever seen a good mixture of racial identity. Love it so much! The place is clean, and the staff extremely organized that I had to comment. If my children were to place me in a home, please let them know to place me at Chartwell Colonial, I know I'll be in good hands. Thank you for allowing me to know being old is not the end, but I can still interact and enjoy a good and pleasant lifestyle. Age is just a number at Chartwell Colonial.

Chartwell Colonial has invited me into their home to help ensure that their resident's mobility equipment is kept in safe working condition at all times. I can not say enough good things about the home. It is warm and inviting. The staff are incredibly welcoming, helpful and treat their resident's like family. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with their residents and hearing about their life experiences. I would feel very confident having a loved one live at the Colonial.

Chartwell Colonial provided just that. The Leadership team and staff made Mom's transition to a retirement home a pleasant seamless occasion. Whether an interaction was brief or longer each one was a positive experience. It was obvious to us that compassion was not a word but a mandate for everyone who works there. Every greeting we had always included a friendly smile and a cheerful hello even when that staff member was not particularly familiar with us. Although my Mother in law’s stay was all too brief she raved about the food the activities and how “hotel like” the residence was. We were so impressed that we asked if they could hold a spot for us until we are ready in another 20 years from now! Even though she could no longer stay in her own home we are so glad her remaining months were spent at such a wonderful place surrounded by compassionate and caring staff. Thank you ALL, Kim & Dan
