I don’t know how this place has a 4.6 rating... stopped in, asked β€œhow much for a haircut” barber couldn’t simply even give me a response. He just grunted and pointed to the prices high up on the wall. Haircut took all but 3 minutes and was uneven and not even remotely what I asked for. Didn’t even show me what it looked like when he finished...just took off the cape and sent me on my way. I had to go to another barber to get it fixed. The neck line was at an angle and there were long stands of hair over my ears. Undoubtedly the worst haircut I’ve ever had, don’t know how one can call this a barbershop. Would not recommend and wouldn't even go there if it were free.

Walk in, sit down and wait until he says "next. Haircut will be very good and you'll only spend a maximum of 10 minutes in the chair. Hand him a $20 and your out the door. Don't expect conversation, and the "Nature of Things" plays 24x7 on the TV.

I've been going here for almost 20 years. Charles is the best. He doesn't make small talk, but he gets the job done quickly with no nonsense or fuss and at a very fair price. Enjoy nature shows on VHS while you wait, or if you're really lucky, videos of Charles' vacation from 15 years ago.

The perfect old-school barber for me. You go in, sit, get your hair cut. no need to make small talk. No fancy cuts here, it's your basic buzz cut or trim around the sides. Charles has an on-going loop of nature documentaries on a tiny little cathode ray telly with fuzzy images. Total trip down memory lane for me. Best part is, he doesn't feel the need to engage you in conversation so you can take a little nap as your hair is being cut. One caveat - i just get a buzz cut all over so I have very few requirements for a haircut.

I've lived in Vancouver for 4.5 years and have had my hair cut from 10+ different places. This guy is the best. Quick, quiet, cheap, and gives you exactly what you want. For $14 he gave me the best cut I've had in Vancouver. The second best cut cost $40.

On the plus side, the haircut is cheap and you can watch old Lorne Greene vhs on an old school CRT tv while not having to chit chat about who cares. Downside is that his haircut is perhaps the worst I have ever received in my 43 yrs. Two stars is for the hipster experience. Note that I live a stone's throw away and still make it to Kingsway for my haircut rather than get it cut here.

Had my first ever haircut here today, and wow the experience was exactly what I wanted. Sharp, quick, and even haircut in a cute, yet clean, barber shop. Less than half the price of the numerous trendy barbers in the area and two, yes two, crts playing some of the best content David Attenborough has to offer. A new regular is born!
