The people are super nice here! I went to pick up a book that I had ordered (for pick up, obviously) and they were lickety-split fast in getting it. Not to mention, their service is top-notch. Definitely a great Chapters to go to!

Employees are not willing to help customers in person. I asked for assistance in finding an item that had 13 in stock on their website. Two employees said that they didn’t have any in store and didn’t even bother asking what the specific item was after I pointed out multiple were supposed to be at their location. I decided to order it through their website and it was ready to pickup in a half hour. Why wasn’t I able to grab it myself with assistance from anyone?

Typically expensive and I get a "snooty" vibe from some of the staff like dirty looks. Anyways, I can't leave without grabbing something since you can always find something catering to whatever you like.

No Starbucks is available here anymore to get a coffee and browse. Also the hours are limited compared to GTA stores and few people available to ask for help. Ended up buying what we needed online because what had 3 in stock could not be found by anyone.

I love everything about this Chapters! They have a great selection of book titles, a warm and cozy environment, and helpful and very polite staff!

Nice place to find unique things. A bit on the expensive side. Have a large collection of books. I was not aware that Starbucks in this place is closed

Pretty good store to shop The setup's nice. The only one complain is the need to do something about their aisles when you line up to go up to the till. It's a little chaotic right now. It's kind of like a little maze so hopefully they can figure out.

During a recent visit this past summer, my partner was the victim of racism by an older lady who worked at this store. It was only after leaving we reflected on what happened and was appalled by the blatant racism. We visited the store while on a camping trip to escape to torrential rain. We tried to find seating to sample a few of the books we were interested in but could not find any seating, so we sat on the steps between the main floor and a raised part of the store. After only sitting for a minute we were approached by the aforementioned lady and was rudely told we weren't allowed to sit there. (also, the store was basically empty). We apologized, brushed her rudeness off and continued reading while standing. After deciding on the books we wanted to buy (totaling over $100) we headed to the checkout. My partner hung back while I went ahead to make the purchase. It just so happened to be the rude lady who approached us before about reading on the steps. Not wanting to interact with her I let her scan away. While she was scanning my items I called back to my partner and asked "Hey, can you get the card from your purse?" (meaning the indigo points card) - but was abruptly interrupted by the rude lady who said, " A status card? oh no, we don't accept those here." I was so confused and didn't even clue in to what she was getting at, so I just ignored her and completed the purchase. To clarify, my partner is Canadian (half English, half Lebanese decent). The Rude lady obviously assumed she was Indigenous and all of a sudden her appalling treatment of us made complete sense. She was a blatant racist against Indigenous Peoples, and probably anyone who isn't white. The lady I'm talking about was white, in her 50's, tall 5'7"+ with light coloured hair. You should be disgusted with yourself. I hope the store reads this and has a clear understanding of who I'm talking about and fires you because I would put money on the fact it wasn't an isolated incident.
