We had hired Cerwood to build our built in shelves for our office back in February. The design process took months and every question took at least a week to get an answer. The contract was finally signed in beginning of June and we were given an install date in the last week of June (over 4 months since the initial meeting). My husband and I both rearranged our schedules to we could accommodate one of us being home for install. A couple of weeks after, I get a call from Cerwood asking to change the install date to the week before b/c they made a scheduling error. I said I would have to check to see if we could rearrange our schedules once again at the last minute. When I contacted them a few days later to tell them unfortunately we couldn't make the earlier date work, she had told me she'd already given away my original date and now they couldn't give me anything until August! I told her this was not reasonable as I didn't agree to the new date, so she said she would look into it. I never heard from her again. I had also requested to make a minor change and she told me they couldn't b/c the unit was already in production which I question as they haven't even done the final measure. After a few days of not hearing from her I called the office and spoke to someone else explaining the situation. They told me I would now be dealing with someone else and the person I was dealing with was no longer with the company. No one called to inform me of this. We settled on a new date at the end of june, which again we had to rearrange our schedules for. Then I ask my new contact at cerwood about the minor change I wanted to make b/c we felt is was too costly. They looked over this item and my entire file and turns out I was over charged more than $3000! If I hadn't questioned it, they would have never found the mistake! And there were other errors in there as well. The unit was partially installed at the end of june but not fully completed until August! They again gave away my service date which was suppose to be in July. So again, we rearranged our schedule to accommodate this new date. Now our next issue. During the design process we specifically asked for in a detailed conversation for a stain/lacquer that had no odour, and were told it would cost over $400 but when we got the unit it stunk, and still does almost 3 months later. Turns out although we asked for no odour it was input on the contract as "low VOC" (which we naturally thought meant no odour given our detailed conversation about smell sensitivities etc). When I inquired about this, I was told we were given Low voc which is used on all their cabinets and that I wasn't charged for it. I then asked to speak with the owner and they would not give me his contact info. I left my number but did not get a call. We had paid in full so I guess he saw no benefit to him to contact me. After weeks of asking I finally got an abrupt email from the owner stating I never asked for "no odour" and I asked for "low voc" and that's whats on the contract. Interesting how he knew what I asked for when he wasn't at the meeting. After a few emails going back and forth he told me the low VOC was an upgrade that I wasn't charged for (contrary to what I was told b/f that is was a stock item) and explained the difference btw no odour and low voc. This was never explained to us in the design process and we never got what we asked for and were promised. There was no compensation offered seeing as we will not be able to use the product for months. Eventually he just stopped responding to my emails. NEVER did the owner apologize or take ownership for the many scheduling and contract mistakes made a long the way. It took him weeks to return my message and it was by email. He just tried to lay the blame on us. He got his money and doesn't care if the job was done right. Customer service and satisfaction is NOT a priority to this owner. I would stay clear of this business.

We redid our kitchen in 2005 and had a wonderful experience. When we decided to add a bar area we of course went back to Cerwood. We wanted the same cupboards which were PVC and were never to fade or chip. I still had my original contract so they knew exactly the style, colour and hardware. When they came to install, the cabinets were white not ivory. We believe they painted these and came back a week later to install. We now have some cracking on the new cabinets. We contacted Cerwood and sent pictures. We have been told warranty is 1 year. However no where on our contract does it say this. They will not come out unless we pay for a service call. We have recommended this company in the past but now have doubts. Be very wary of a company that refuses to look into things after spending over 25K. Our original cabinets are 13 years old with no issues. Obviously something was not done correctly with these cabinets as they are only a year and a half old and showing cracks in the finish.

My wife and I hired cerwood to build and install A complete kitchen and two bathroom vanities in our new build. Worst decision we have ever made. The owner of this buisiness is A crook. Cerwood installed everything even though it was flawed. Drawers do not fit rendering them unsable. Pantry was installed using broken parts and half the hardware required. Drawers in pantry collapsed leaving it unusable. Cabinets were installed with finished veneer delaminating on half the cabinets. This deadbeat owner(geoff) requested our cheque asap and cashed next day, we have not seen or heard from since (three years) Refuses to speak with US, email us or corispond in any way. He hides behind his staff like A cowered! I have photos and all correspondence to prove our aligations. Be very, very careful if you choose to deal with this company. It's this kind of owner that gives small business such a bad stench Gary Haughton

Had a bathroom vanity made for our master bathroom, had a vision for what I wanted but couldn't really find anything that matched it, they made it perfectly the way I wanted it. Craftsmanship was exceptional, delivered right on time, price was good compared to other quotes we received. All in all an excellent job

We would definitely recommend Cerwood to do your kitchen cupboard reno. Right from the beginning with Erin coming to visit and talk design to the finished install with Derek was a great experience. Thank you, Stephen and Karen Auer

Cerwood shows nice products but our install was subpar and our granite countertop was installed with a chip in it right at the sink. They also did not properly install the backsplash behind the sink. Erin is a very rude and disrespectful person, she talks over you and says things like you are not the costumer the builder is. Even after the builder agreed they need to fix the problem they remain difficult to resolve the situation. Buyer beware and double check all installations so you never have to deal with Erin. UPDATE: 2nd time I've had an appointment scheduled to fix or improperly installed backsplash and 2nd time they are a no show. Btw we have been waiting 4yrs to have this repaired.

We had a wonderful experience with our sales representative Erin, as well as our installer Derek and the rest of the team. Erin has gone above and beyond to help us through this process. From putting up with our many design questions and last minute changes to ensuring major items (counter tops and cabinetry) were completed on schedule. Derek has also helped add little touches/ideas during the install process to improve our kitchen and laundry. We wanted cream coloured oak cabinets that still showed the grain in our kitchen and it turned out great! We went with the MDF cabinets in our laundry and those turned out just as nice. Our kitchen island is even more wonderful than we had hoped for. The whole team was really great to us through this experience. The only thing that could be improved on is the return time for repairs or unfinished items, but the COVID-19 situation probably added to that issue.
