โ โ โ โ โ Great place to go look around. I go there a few times every year to buy some trains for my birthday/Christmas! Seen a few reviews where people say the people who work here are grumpy, but I donโt get that at all. Thereโs no doubt these people care about their store and want people to enjoy it, as long as you are respectful and follow the (very well implemented) covid procedures they have, youโll have a great experience! Definitely the best hobby shop for miles around!

โ โ โ โ โ Cool store with lots of n-scale trains and Hobbes. I,v build a cool train set and many trains (cargo & passenger) big $$$$ cool fun I,m happy. Find the kid in you. Have fun . I did. Now a 2nd track 6,6 long 29" wide with newer pictures. Yea $$$$ . Fun fun fun .

โ โ โ โ โ Central hobbies owner accepted my Kato H.O. train engine in excellent condition on Nov.29, 2021, in need of a repair for a small piece on the circuit board. I have not seen it since I handed it to them. Now today on Feb. 10, 2022. They sent me an email confirming their story that I had already picked it up.
Here is more of the story. The technician called me a week later after Nov.29, 2021, saying supply chain issues prevented them from ordering the part. He said to come pick it up. A 2 hour round trip from where I live. Upon going there, the tech said that he could not find it. He said sorry, he would locate it. He called me back a week later and said he found it. Come pick it up. Another 2 hour round trip. This time the technician said that I had already picked it up. They kept my $194. Plus tax, Kato train engine that I had taken care of, and bought from the same people back in 2008.
I am baffled. I thought I could trust Central Hobbies. They let me down. Between the 3 trips and the emails. I have invested 8 hours to no avail.

โ โ โ โ โ Great Place if you want to stand around and chat. If you know what you want and need help to get it - not likely. If someone is standing there waving an item to purchase it, Stop yacking and help a paying customer.

โ โ โ โ โ the store overall has a good selection, pricing for some of the products could be a little high, and I noticed that in some cases the staff aren't very nice to less experienced model railroaders

โ โ โ โ โ Fantastic shop, full of some great finds for crafters, painters, and hobbyists alike. And the people who work there are absolutely amazing! So knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you take a moment to go on amd have a shop around.
