A nightmare! Alberta Health Services care plan requires 4 hours of care 5-9pm daily. Today no one shows. Numerous calls, time on hold, dropped calls. Told By Olu in Winnipeg at 5:12 pm that Tina is on her way with ETA of 20 minutes. Tina doesn't show so at 5:37pm call back and after time on hold, call dropped. 5:47 spoke to Komal in Winnipeg that caregiver is "not available", "she's sleeping" but will come in 30 minutes. Call with Grace who will follow up. Call from Janet in Edmonton office saying "Naomi" is on her way. Who is Naomi? Need to confirm there is no dog present. There hasn't been a dog for 3 months!!! Call from Janet at 6:45pm again wanting again to confirm no dog and saying she is "trying to contact Naomi after telling me she is on her way. Says she'll call me back. It's 7:33pm and I'm still waiting! These people are liars! No one reads the care plan and they couldn't care less about their clients. Throughout this odessey no one even asked about the client!

We used to be with Bayshore (riverview area), then moved to the CBI area of town - and wow, what a difference. Most actual workers were great, but the coordinator (I believe her name is Cassandra) and manager behind the scenes - were just awful. Sending people at purely random times on multiple occasions, getting rid of other already-established appountments with zero warning or reason, leaving about 20 attempts on our part to find out what was going on - completely unanswered; and so on. I'd highly recommend staying away from this company if you can help it. Hopefully Alberta Health drops them soon for a reasonably competent alternative.

I have been working this company for 5 years. I had two accidents with in 48 hours , I called and told them then they book me off for that day and the other two days which I scheduled to work. The next day I went my doctor and gave me one month sickness live I took the note and gave them the next day they called me and they said we are going to post your position because you were more than 30days I told them my doctor note is only 30 days but you called sick before that reason we can’t keep your position. I asked are you telling me come back before that time or you never get your position again she said yes . Oh now I ma going my doctor and ask to agree with that how much they are heartless and not feeling the pain of their employees they are worst company I had ever worked never work Cbi home healthy unless you have no any option .

My mom wqs released from hospital two weeks agi after 2 months in. And cbi has been nothing but hell to deal with. They never show up on time usually an hour or longer late. They dont follow care plan times. They rush my mom in and out of shower. And they are messing up her ostomy care and wasting supplies. Do not recommend at all

This company delivers very poor service. The employees don’t follow orders given by Homecare or doctors. Our mom was waiting 2 weeks for a shower. After family having to call several times after the order was given. Then they change the stories around to cover their error.The company should follow up with these lazy employees. AHS should review/ follow up who they contract for these services on a regular basis.

I have had problems in the past. However we now have regular staff and they are wonderful. Weekends can be stressful occassionally but lately good. I now have a contact who listens to problems.

CBI is a great company and their employees deserve to be recognized during this challenging time. I can't imagine that it is very easy to do what they do in a pandemic. The health care staff are courageous, resilient and caring. They continue to provide outstanding care to their patients and take every necessary precaution to keep the patients safe. Thank you CBI for caring for our loved ones as much as we do.

If you care about your loved ones DONT USE THIS SERVICE. we have had 4 caseworkers now, first and the last one is great, other two could have care less. SEVEN missed home visit in last 2 year, we told they would not bath my mom they deemed it non essential, one care giver told my mom she had scabies, she cried for 2 days , she had dry skin. We have Monday to Friday visit in the last 2 week they have been showing up on Saturday morning buzzing us until we have no choice but to get up, we have not had weekend service in over a year. I'm going to find out if there billing for these unscheduled and unwanted visit. I could go on but pointless no one is held accountable there , and if you do complain it only gets worse for you. My current caseworkers and caregiver are amazing . I would not trust the administration at cbi to feed monkeys at a zoo.
