We started our training a bit late, initially quite intimidated and lacking confidence interacting with anyone just her family, my pup started with puppy play and learns. Took 3 sessions of sulking before she bloomed and learned to enjoy playing with other dogs. Having a small, controlled setting was key to my pup's success Now she is a social butterfly, approaching and playing with all but highly aggressive/unapproachable dogs and people. My puppy also struggled with settling, after a couple key changes from Cathie, my puppy improved so much. She is calm, confident and a good listener (most of the time ?). I consistently receive compliments on what a well behaved puppy I have. We also completed puppy kindergarten which gave both my pup and me the skills and confidence to navigate those first few months. My pup is quite timid in nature, took much dedicated conditioning to get her comfortable with loud objects like the vacuum and hair dryer. The group setting is great, what works for one dog might not work for another, really valuable to see this is in action and to hear from others experiences. Cathie is highly knowledgeable, compassionate and always learning herself. Really excited for basic manners and nose work. Can't recommend Cathie's enough.

Our family has had a great experience working with Cathie in her Puppy Package and then Basic Skills and Manners programs. Using a positive reward-based training method, Cathie provided a positive, practical, safe experience and helped us set a solid foundation for our puppy Gerry. I did not need training advice that day, yet I have before, and Cathie has been very informative and helpful. It is a very difficult job for a trainer especially these days with the explosion of dogs we have. Cathie has all the skills and experience and education needed to be the excellent trainer she is.. When you receive advice from Cathie or any trainer for your dog, it becomes your responsibility to carry on with.it so that all our dogs can be responsible Citizen Canine Companions. and we responsible guardians. As you might tell, I am passionate about dogs and their importance to our lives. And if a dog needs training I recommend you talk to Cathie and follow her advice. She also provides tons of useful information for one to follow and is there to help with further followup up advice or give added direction.

It was really important for me to find someone I can trust and who genuinely cares about working with dogs...and that’s Cathie for you! The consultation itself was so helpful! Cathie did a great job explaining the “why” behind the behaviours I was concerned about. We made some changes at home based on Cathie’s suggestions and have already seen improvements. I'm really looking forward to her classes. She really knows her stuff and her years of experience definitely shows!

She's very kind and knowledgeable, and I could tell right away that she has many years of experience by the way she interacted with our dog. Cathie gave us some great advice on what we were doing right and areas we needed to work on, and we are already seeing improvements with our pup’s behaviour. We feel more confident, and our puppy is happier as well. We have also attended Puppy Play & Learn which has been great for socialization, and we are joining some group classes later this month. We highly recommend Cathie, she is the real deal!
