★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owners were amazing and the park was so quiet! Just what we wanted for a weekend away. There's a lovely hiking trail, which was a bonus. We arrived a little after dark, and the owner helped provide extra light and guidance while we set up. We look forward to going back next summer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an awesome place. We got lucky when we randomly found this campground on google, and based on our experience the nearly 5 star rating is very very well deserved. From arriving to departure, the owners were flawlessly friendly and welcoming, and helpful. Facilities - showers, washrooms, store, etc. - were all very well maintained and CLEAN.
Even the small details made a difference - wood was dry which made for easy fire starts. Campground design itself is not just a grid of spaces.. it's more windy and you seem to have lots of space around you, and the hookups are well placed for majority of RVs
We happened to book during Christmas in July and surprisingly the campground organized an event for the kids, plus hosted a movie night in a wide open field near the lake.
The lake is quite small - but plenty big enough for swimming and big enough for the private use of this campground, and has a swim dock which was very well used. We spent a lot of time in the water there. The beach is quite nice and sandy, and regularly graded to keep it smooth.
Our kids made friends with the owner's son which added a special flavour to the week. Shout out to how polite he is as well!
Every campsite we've been to since simply does not compare to Castleton Hills and I really look forward to the next time we're able to visit.

The park was very clean,
with an amazing atmosphere.
We will definitely visit again.
Even during this difficult time of covid, people managed to still be welcoming and friendly, during social distancing rules and regulations.
