Cash Money - Calgary

My fiance and I found ourselves in a sticky situation, and so my fiance decided to go to this cash money location. The lady that we dealt with had NO clue what she was doing or how the different loan options worked. After everything was said and done she pushed and convinced us to open a line of credit ( new option with cash money) instead of an installment loan. The reasons she gave us was that it was more flexible, no "fixed rate" yada yada and so on and so forth. So we thought that sounds great, we were approved for a large amount and what we were told was that when we needed cash from our line of credit, it would be available via cash or email transfer from any cash money location. So I thought, again that's great, it's easy and convenient. She also mentioned that it was like having a credit card, that the money you paid back into it would be a credit that you would later be available to you. That's a lie. Because when his first statement came in after the first 100$ payment, the amount available to us is 0$. So then when my fiance was finished signing all the paperwork and agreeing to this large loan, the lady asked what kind of bills we would like our amount in...? We were both confused. So I tried to ask her what she was talking about, I thought we only take out what we needed, and she proceeded to tell me that our bank we branch with was down the street for us to deposit the full amount of our loan. So instead of continuing to ask questions and to argue with her since it was nothing but a run around conversation and none of my questions were being answered, we decided to just take the cash and deposit it into the bank. Only to find out on his first statement that the interest rate is through the roof, and the charges and fees are high, so between interest, fees and charges out of the minimum100$ biweekly payments only 25$ is going back into the actual loan itself and they don't explain this to you. So basically it will take 4 years to pay off the loan rather than a couple of years. They say the minimum payment is 100$, and you think hey that's reasonable, what they don't tell you is that only a quarter of that (literally) goes towards the loan itself. And now we are paying a lot more because of the fact that we took the entire amount out. It would also take almost 2 months at that rate to see a positive amount on the account below our loan limit especially when only 50$ out of the 200$ payments a month goes towards the loan. Cash money needs to hire people that are able to fully explain the loan options, and for people that have exceptional skills in the english language with noth spoken and receiving. She didn't understand me, and I couldn't understand her. So if she can't understand what I am asking, since you know this isn't a small investment then how is someone supposed to make an informed decision. When someone is making a decision, they should be able to ask as many questions that they want to be able to fully understand, and should be able to ask a question and the recipient be able to understand what is being asked of them. This is not how to do business and that's what these loans are for some people is a business or personal investment. We all know money doesn't grow on trees and every transaction should be held to higher standards than this place. My fiance and I DO NOT agree with the way this location handles their clients and will not be going back and I hope that everyone reading this does the same. Make sure you fully understand what the agreement is, and that they don't try to rush any decisions you make. Its your money and it should he handled with the upmost respect. If you decide to go with line of credit, and aren't looking to withdraw the full amount, that you explain that to them very clearly in the beginning of the conversation BEFORE you sign any agreements. This lady did NOT understand what I was asking, and when we kept saying we don't need that much she persisted for us to withdraw our full credit limit.

The staff are amazing!!!. They are friendly, welcoming, and gave me so much time to answer all of my questions as it was my first time going to a Cash Money store. I appreciate the team of this store for helping me anytime i need cash. They are friendly and helpful always. The cash advances processes is very easy. I don’t have to come personally to the store within 10 minutes my money is in my account. I will definitely recommend this location. Good customer service.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE unless you are desperate and prepared to pay off the total sum of your loan immediately. Great service, easy to get the money. However, with nearly 40%-50% interest on your loan, you will NEVER pay it off without larger lump sum payments and your debt balance will continue to increase with each payment you make. They also make it difficult to close an account and end communication. Do your due diligence before considering cash money.
