★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not happy! Had a couch custom made; very pricey and:
- they came over with the frame to make sure it would fit in my front door which I thought was really smart, but they didn't account for the upholstery and scraped the fabric getting it through the front door
- had the seat cushions redone twice - they had visible seams in them. In the first re-do they just took some stuffing out expecting the seams to be less visible. It didn't help at all so I refused to take them back until they resolved the issue. In the second re-do they sewed new linings without seams which looked great at first. Now 3 years later it's obvious that the middle cushion is harder and stands higher than the rest.
This was an $8,000 couch and for that price I expected perfection. I did not get it. I gave two stars because the fabric is gorgeous, but thinking about it, that's not really attributable to them. Maybe one star would be more appropriate.

Excellent service and home delivery made the whole experience really fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Carmel to anyone who wants a new piece they will love.
