I usually never write online reviews but felt the need to based on how professional and impressed I felt with the service. From the moment you contact them you can tell why they are the top career firm in the city. My counsellor Lee was amazing; she brought a ton of professional experience and supported me in identifying and transitioning on a more productive and happier career path. I would highly recommend Careers By Design, the skills and techniques they provide you with can be used all throughout you professional career.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coaching with Careers by Design, and specifically Lee, has been fantastic! Just what I needed when I needed it most. Before coaching I felt stuck, overwhelmed and lost. I had no idea how to facilitate a career change.
Through coaching, Lee has helped me better understand my value and translate my knowledge, skills and abilities into generic terms to use in a new industry. It was good to highlight my accomplishments and articulate my achievements more clearly.
I'm thrilled to say that I have met my short term goal of securing a new job in a different industry, which I did through networking. When I apply for future positions, I definitely know that networking will be the most successful strategy! Thanks again, Lee and CBD!!

My previous career background consisted of a lot of information which was reflected in my old resume. Some of it was overkill.
Nicole was able to take all the main points and say so much more using far less words! Additionally, I am a recent graduate from a full time Paralegal Program, trying to blend all of it together took some real brain gymnastics. Needless to say, Nicole certainly delivered and her writing skills reflect her previous career work. Highly impressive.
I am excited to start applying for work using my brand-new nicely polished resume! Thank you, Nicole, I will definitely recommend your services to others!

My one-on-one session with one of their career coaches helped me identify areas in need of improvement for interviews, and how to better pitch my skills in that setting. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Turning Point session was with Pat - I talked about myself (education, experience life, wishes, job etc) and what I want to do. It was really nice to have someone pinpoint my passions (which I didn't know I had), and my strengths with things to work on. The conversation was fluid, peaceful and direct. Looking forward to continuing my sessions for the next few weeks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I came to Careers by Design in order to gain some clarity in a time of shifting priorities in my work life. After spending more than a decade on one career track, I felt stuck and unable to move forward in any concrete direction. Linda was incredible in structuring our sessions so that I was able to make tangible progress each week. Working through the process helped me identify the need to reconnect with my intuition and gut instinct in guiding my next steps. We began each virtual session with a five minute guided meditation which I will now be doing before any major meeting! Having a supportive coach who could offer an objective perspective was extremely helpful. I am now able to confidently take the 'next best step' and feel optimistic about the track I'm on. I would strongly recommend for anyone who is struggling to gain clarity on their career path to sign up for Careers By Design with Linda :)
