S	Sam Smith on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to find a private cottage that you can enjoy your weekend peacefully, definitly do not recommend this one. You don't get privacy at all as you are essentially sharing the same backyard and dock with another two houses. Also, there are a couple houses in the middle of the lake, and dock of this cottage is the only way how people can get to their house on the island. So while you are on the dock, there would be people constantly walking by. The house didn't seem to be cleaned. Floors were sticky. Luckily I brought my own bedsheets for my stay as the bedsheets were dirty Overall, do not recommend this place.
S	Sofia Martinez on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The water pump stopped working during our stay, so we had to carry jugs of water from the nearby lake to flush the toilet, and do not even mention shower, wash dishes, or anything else at this point. Additionally, when you are busy round-tripping between the lake and the house to transport water for yourself, the owner passing by without any gesture to help, it just tells you they don't get bothered to make your vacation better, which is very unfortunate. Finally, the place was not clean when checking in. This is very concerning, especially during Covid time.

L	Lemondrizzle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor hygiene. No one could do laundry because of disgusting washer with dirty water and dead bugs, see photo attached. Garbage everywhere around and inside the cottage. We even found a pair of false eyelashes in the shower when first arrived. Unacceptable especially during pandemic when cleanliness is essential. Lack of privacy. The listing said the guests can enjoy the whole peninsula to themselves, yet we had to share with other cottages head to head. Backyard and dock are not inclusive either.

S	Shahriar ayoubzadeh on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the pictures are not telling the whole story. Although one can survive the cottage we had the following issues at the villa. Poor areas: - the place was not ready on check in time. Rooms and floors were still dirty. We had to mop and clean ourselves. - water pressure was very low for proper shower - we had no water for 1/2 day. Apparently the water pump was broken and it was not disclosed - garbage bins are too small for multiple cottages. We had to keep the garbage bags inside and outside the garbage was very smelly. - the place is in need of a major redo. Good points: - beautiful view and easy access to water - owners are very nice - easy drive from ottawa - for a cottage it is acceptable if the repairs are done. I may inquire again next year to support them as the place has lots of potential.
B	Bianca Lucarelli on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT BOOK THIS COTTAGE! The owner of the cottage is an aggressive drunk and will ruin your vacation. We stayed there for the weekend and the owner called the police on us and tried to kick us out because he did not want our dog to be in the property even though we had an agreement prior to arriving and paid a $25 dog fee. He threatened us and kicked our dog. When the police arrived they quickly realized that we were not the issue and told us the owner frequently calls the police on the occupants of the Airbnb and has some mental issues. After paying $3000 for a weekend, you would expect to feel welcome but that was certainly not the case. The house was also dirty, the garbage bins and laundry hampers we’re full from previous stays. The house is not in good condition and there were no clean sheets. You can also see from previous reviews on Airbnb that this is not a one off. Do not waste your money!
