On a national level, Capital is Jones Lang La Salle’s (JLL) Strategic Partner for the Manitoba marketplace. Capital will service JLL’s national and international clients in terms of their requirements across Manitoba. Capital will also be working in concert with JLL’s national practice groups across all disciplines including capital markets, landlord and tenant representation, as well as project management. Our History

Operating from the second floor of 570 Portage Avenue, where it employs more than 20 sales professionals, property managers and support staff, Capital Commercial Real Estate Services provides strength and breadth of knowledge through its independent brokerage, as established by Marcel Chartier, original founder of Chartier & Associates Inc.

Founded in 1984, Chartier & Associates Inc. built a reputation throughout Winnipeg and Manitoba of providing excellent service in all aspects of commercial real estate sales, leasing, development and management. Marcel was joined in the business by his two sons, Carey and Derrick and the company’s strong market performance grew to include commercial brokerage and management into northwestern Ontario and Saskatchewan and eventually across Canada.

From 2001 to 2015, the company operated as CBRE Manitoba, further developing its experience and platform as a local company with the capacity to provide national level service.

On August 1, 2015 the company rebranded and began operations as Capital Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. Marcel, Derrick, and Carey along with Principals Trevor Clay and Rennie Zegalski in the firm to move the company forward as a partnership. This new partnership, along with the core of its professional sales staff, provides continuity to its clients’ commercial real estate requirements and positions Capital to grow its position as a market leader in Manitoba.

In conjunction with its rebranding process, Capital Commercial has also entered into a strategic alliance with Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL), an international commercial real estate firm with 1,000 offices in 75 countries and 48,000 employees.
