We went to the cafe for brunch and ordered chicken and waffles with hash browns and French toast and also the breakfast pallela. My favorite dish was the chicken and waffles. The poached egg on top was great with everything. The pallela was very flavorful and presented nice. The servers were very accommodating with the stroller and baby. It was kind of tight indoors but their patio seating had plenty of space.

Overall the food was pretty good. I had the avocado Benedict since they don't have an abundance of vegetarian options. The only thing was demeted came pretty cold. They were also extremely busy for a Monday morning, so the service was not as good. There was only one waiter/server So it took quite a while for our food to get here and then also quite a while for us to get our food.

The food is to die for - simply delicious!! The Granny's Hot Chocolate was the one I have never tasted in the entire Vancouver. I am hooked for life to this place. Best customer service, neat and tidy place. I went around 10.00 a.m and it was busy!

We ordered fish and chips, sourdough with clams chowder soup, smoked salmon egg Benedict and the chick n’ waffle. The quality of all dishes are so good and they are so tasty! We are well served by waitresses and they are so nice to us. What I like from the restaurant is that they made everything from scratch, even their hash browns are self-made. The interior of the restaurant gives out a vintage feel and we feel relaxed while dining here. Overall, it was an excellent experience dining here! We would definitely visit again if we have the chance.

If you've ever watched Once Upon A Time, then you will know that this quaint restaurant is known as Granny's Cafe in the show! We stopped by here for brunch and although they do not accept reservations on the weekend, we arrived around 12:45P and there was a table readily available. Every item we tried was indicated as their "Best Sellers" with this emoji; ?. Items we ordered to share; GRANNY'S CHOWDER There was a handful of clams in the chowder. Overall flavor was good and was served in a bread bowl. In my personal opinion, I feel like you lose portion amounts when a chowder is served in a bread bowl. Still good. BREAKFAST PAELLA This paella had Bavarian sausage, veggies, served with a sunny side up egg & a bed of fresh salad. The flavor was very tomato-y, something I'm not accustomed to when eating paella, so that was a bit new to me. The presentation was very nice, it was served on a wooden paddle and came with toasted bread & yogurt. Unsure if it was my fave dish. FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLES This was probably my favorite dish! The chicken was well season and so juicy. Cooked to perfection. The dish is served on a soft waffle (a little sweet in my opinion), poached egg topped with fresh salad, hollandaise sauce & syrup. I asked for the sauces to be on the side (this is just a personal preference). ROSE TEA LATTE The drink was good, nothing extremely special, but presentation was very pretty! MIMOSA They only have one flavor, which is orange. I think this drink lacked alcohol, you could barely taste the alcohol. Presentation: Pretty Food: Overall it was decent and I would like to come back and try their other menu items. Service: Good Parking: If you're lucky you may get a spot nearby. But in general, Steveston is just a busy area. Reservations: Yes, but not on weekends.

This is a cute little cafe in the heart of Steveston that serves something for everyone, from hot chocolate to red wine, there’s something for everyone. They also have a wall of fame as this cafe was used in the filming of “Once Upon a Time” which is really cool to see if you’re a fan of the show or just want to experience a piece of local Hollywood. Food wise, the portions are good, flavours are decent, and I would recommend coming here for a brunch if you’re in the area. If you’re expecting five star dining style food, you won’t get that, but you’ll still get really good service and a cozy spot to eat while you take a break from exploring the village.

Debating to give a 3 or 4 stars. It’s definitely a very popular breakfast restaurant in Steveston and food is very good. Please be aware that one of the waitresses serving outdoor always encourages people to sit outdoor even there’s space indoor. The reason for that is because she can get all the tips. I was told to put down my name and phone number for indoor sitting and was told wait time is 30-40min. When i walked inside, there were 3 tables available and i asked if i can sit down, indoor server immediate said yes and there’s no one waiting. Management should monitor this closely. That’s my second time to this restaurant and the same server did the same thing so I don’t think she’s new but very selfish. My second time had the Lobster Waffle and it’s super yummy!

Been here two days in a row because that’s how great my first experience was. The egg Bennys and fried chicken waffle is definitely a must try . I wouldn’t recommend the steak. It was on the chewy side and pretty bland. The French toast was pretty dry, would have been a lot better if it was soaked in butter milk ! I would definitely suggest going on the weekday to avoid the crowd and receive better service . The patios are open and are pet friendly! Pet friendly places are just happier places :) oh and it’s the restaurant that “ once upon a time” was filmed at!
