About Barb
Microblading Artist, IPL & Laser Technician and Skin Care Specialist
Barb has become well established and immersed in Canmore’s community over the past 18 years where she and her husband have been fortunate enough to raise their two boys and lucky to call Canmore home. For several of those years, she commuted to Calgary to her esthetic salon that she was an owner and operator of for 24 years. Once she could no longer justify her commute into Calgary for work, Barb began exploring another area of esthetics which has always been her passion.
It was a natural progression in her personal career to train in Calgary to be the clinic’s Microblading Artist and was able to secure a position at the Canmore MediSpa by late 2017. While working at the clinic and being re-exposed to the vast variety of technical procedures (some of which she had performed in the past) her interest in clinical esthetics reawakened.
Barb had been performing IPL treatments for over a decade in Calgary but in order to stay current in the industry, Barb retrained and recertified as an IPL and Laser Technician and now accompanies Alexis as one of the Laser/Light technicians.
Skin Care has always been of paramount interest for Barb because of her time working in the field of esthetics. She now has a new love for Vivier, Alumier and Alastin as the product lines the Canmore MediSpa & Laser Centre stand behind. Extensive training and exposure to those product lines have allowed Barb the education and experience to provide exceptional skin care treatments.
It is a pleasure to be able to combine work ethics and abilities with Alexis who is extremely bright and inquisitive and shares a passion for the medical cosmetic industry. We strive to please our clients by meeting and exceeding customer service expectations and achieving exceptional results.
Barb’s love of people and the interactions with them as well as her belief that we all have beauty, inside and out, has made her a great addition to the clinic where we want to highlight the best for our clients which goes along so well with the Canmore MediSpa’s tagline: “Clearly Beautiful Skin”

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service was good, but the product was useless. Prolotherapy is a complete waste of time and money. Having badly sprained my wrist, It was recommended I get prolotherapy done to heal it after over a year. After 5-6 prolotherapy sessions here and at a place in Calgary, my wrist showed absolutely no sign of healing and may have even gotten worse in some areas. I then went to a doctor months later, who sent me for one cortisone shot and voila, my wrist is healed. DO NOT GET PROLOTHERAPY

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Balharry is amazing and his staff is always great too! I drive from Calgary to see him and will continue to do so! He did surgery on me to remove my varicose veins and has done a few follow up treatments as well. I’m a very nervous patient but he does such a great job of keeping me relaxed and he’s very gentle. At my last visit I also got a botox treatment and it was super quick and painless. I would recommend Dr. Balharry for any treatment you’re considering... you won’t be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All of my visits to Dr. Balharry have been exceptional. He is professional yet personal. Initial visit consisted of an assessment and treatment plan, for no cost. The second visit was for my varicose vein injections. There was a charge after, which I was prepared for, it was 90% less than what I was quoted, for the same treatment at a Calgary vein clinic! Third visit, follow-up post inject, was great, no fee. I still have a couple of follow up visits, but don't anticiapate anything other than great service. Highly recommend Dr. Balharry and the Canmore MediSpa and Laser Centre
