My daughter (Rep player) has played summer hockey at Canlan each summer for a number of years at Etobicoke and Oakville locations. Matt Kishi was incredible at coordinating the teams and answering any questions and finding room for ALL the kids to play. Always had a great experience. Since he has left their service has been TERRIBLE
Registered my daughter to play with her friend this summer and they did not provide a spot for her on a team. She found out her friend was accepted on a team and has been in tears since she does not get to play. BTW my daughter was signed up days before her friend. We didn’t know we were even on a wait list until her friend told us she was getting game time emails that we did not receive.
Hockey is my daughter’s world right now. I reached out to Canlan multiple times for an update only to receive no response. We also attempted to call the number on the website only to find out that their phone system wasn’t set up this summer. My daughters friend provided us with the same email address that was sending out updates. This email address was valid but not available anywhere on their website. Super disappointed with their communication and service this summer. We will no longer support their business.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is only regarding the facility and not leagues or programs run by Canlan.
The maintenance staff could improve on their manners and professionalism.
Facilities are okay. The spectator seating is not the greatest for tournaments.
Pro shop is only open after 5pm.
I will give them props for their women's change room. A full size room where girls can change with dignity rather then the phone booths most other rinks provide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice facility, I had my daughter's skating party here, we all had a great time, Our time on the ice was great, seeing my daughter having an amazing time with her friends was special, and our party room was nice after the skating and the food was delicious.
Also been here for a power skating program, very impressed. Great experience here overall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a horrible summer experience. We registered for hockey leagues in January and when summer hockey leagues were finally posted, we were put on a wait-list. They had cancelled our division and it took a lot of emails to finally confirm a spot. Secondly, this was a house league division and many of the teams were rep. Finally, we had a covid exposure at the rink and could not get any information or clarification. The person who said he was the contact, was away when I contacted him.
