The mechanic removed my 4 wheels following my request to check and change the brakes. When he finished changing the brakes I tried the car and everything was fine. 4 days later I was on Highway 35 with my wife and kids and I heard a weird noise that was getting louder, so I was on the shoulder lane. I heard a loud and dry noise, so I left the vehicle to find that my wheel was out and the bots were scattered on the highway. I was in shock and my little family too. I then put everything in place and I went to complain directly to the supervisor. The supervisor tells me it's my fault since the rims were not buying at the canadian shoots. I called the customer service and he seemed to be worried and understandable until the agent told me he was going to call the Supervisor for his version of the facts. Then he CALL ME BACK TO SAY THAT MY STORY IS BIZARRE AND THERES NOTHING TO DO ABOUT MY SITUATION IN SUMMARY ME AND MY SMALL FAMILY ARE AT RISK OF DEATH FROM THE MECHANICIAN WHO MISELVED THE WHEEL AND CANADIANTIRE AGAINST MY SITUATION. PS: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOUR DOING YOUR MECHANICS TO CANADIAN TIRE. (St-bruno)

I recently wanted to purchase and install winter tires for my vehicle, and contacted the Whitby north location to do so. The man who I spoke to insisted he could not look up my tires by using the make and model of my vehicle...something I know to be untrue as I’d just gotten quotes from 3 other shops. When I pressed him, he pulled the phone away and said β€˜Jesus ****ing Christ with this woman!’, thinking I couldn’t hear him. I complained to the manager immediately, and he took my name and phone number down. I never heard back from him. I called head office 2 weeks later to notify them of this incident, and the very kind woman I spoke to said I’d be hearing back from someone ASAP. That was over a week ago. You guys are really killing it in the customer service department! Things must be going well for you financially if you’re able to literally allow your staff to swear at your customers with zero repercussions and zero acknowledgement of wrongdoing. Thanks for saving me the trouble of ever visiting any of your stores again.

I was at Canadian tire Heartland for safety check of my car. It took almost three hours by the time I came out frustrated. I felt I was a hostage as they wanted to rob me for around $2000 while I got the safety check and necessary repairs at 1/4 of their price from other reputable mechanic. i will never use this location for my car repair.

The place is a mess , entire aisles reduced to 18 inches or so in width. ladders and tools laying around. Even broken glass. The service was actual not bad and the one lady at the register was really nice, but that's no way to keep a store, even under renovation.

I really needed some duct tape to fix some leaking ducts at home, so I google-mapped the closest Canadian Tire. I live about 30 min away and this is like the closest Canadian Tire. So I arrived, going upstairs and stuff. It looked like a pretty nice place, a little TOO nice for a Canadian Tire with all the fancy logos everywhere. I walked in like a boss and it turned out they even have a reception desk. I thought, something clearly wasn't right. It turns out that this is their freaking office, not the store. You have been warned. The receptionist was nice enough to give me her emergency duct tape however, so there's no harm in trying. YMMV.

Store had good price on items required. Cashier was pleasant. New cattle trough for customers to approach cash is way too much. Told cashier, and if continued I will find another place to shop. I will not be herded though a maze of junk to pay for my purchase.

Really unhappy with Canadian Tire in Windsor right now. I purchased four tires in the early spring and had free tire repairs. May 11 I brought the car in for a slow leak which they repaired with no complaints. Anyway, about three weeks later a noise started in our front end. A week or so later, my wife was pulling out from the parking spot in front on our house and the wheel fell off. Seems the noise we heard was the tire not being tightened properly and was starting to wobble and eventually all 5 studs broke. We had the car towed to a local garage that could fix it the next day, Sunday. The next day I brought the bill into Canadian Tire and was told the manager wasn't in but he would call me the next morning. I forgot to mention the severe damage to the quarter panel and tire well. Anyway, a few days went by and no phone call. A couple days later he finally called and told me to bring the bill and car in and he would take a look. I brought the car in the next day and he had taken the day off. Another note was left for him to call and again a week went by before I called him. I brought the car in again and gave him the bill and an estimate for the body repairs, almost $1500. He made a copy of the garage bill and told me he didn't need the estimate right then. We talked and he agreed that they were responsible for the damage but he had to clear it with the manager who was on vacation until the next day. You guessed it. A week went by before I called them. The service manager said the store manger just returned from vacation the day before and said they would pay for the new studs and half the labour. Reason being that they did not believe the wheel fell off. After a 15 minute discussion, he agreed to pay for all the labour so $189 or just over 10% of what it was going to cost to make us whole again. He transferred me to the store manager who had not heard anything about our claim, despite the fact that the manager, Jihad Aoude, told me they had discussed it the day before. The store manager told me it was not their fault that the tire fell off, that we should have brought the car in when we first heard the noise. We ended up with the offer of $189 and they would accept no responsibility for anything else. I had always heard about how crooked Canadian Tire was but being an optimistic person, I believed them to be honest until they showed me otherwise. My trust is going to cost me $1500 or so. Please be warned. All those horror stories are true. They make careless mistakes and and will deny any claim you have for damages caused by their error.

The worst service anyone can get from their Auto Centres. I do all my own repairs to a professional level, but tire installation and balancing, I left to them. After all, what could possibly go wrong. Check out my YouTube video titled "Canadian Tire Auto Service Screw Up".
