β β β β β My girlfriend had a birthday, she loves animals moreover we are from central Europe, there are no buffalos and elks. I found this ranch with lots of pictures of animals on their website but when we came the boss didn't allow just a little walk around and look at the animals. I know this is not a ZOO and I didn't let him know before but we wanted just walk arround .. quiet and with respect. Sorry for that

β β β β β Take this 30 minute trip (from downtown Calgary) to see elk and bison at the ranch. Give the staff a heads up and after a quick discussion of the rules (donβt open any gates, donβt disturb the animals) you can even drive some of the ranch roads to get a close up view. Early summer is calving season so they are very protective, donβt get out of your car and if the animals show signs of getting upset then slowly drive away.
