★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in the Canadian Forces for about 2 years and it was good training and facilities. However, everyone is there just to make money and for their pension! If your instructors like you, you could potentially have a good career but they can also completely screw you over If they don't like you!

Dress to impress. Impressions matter! Jeans, runners and a wrinkled t-shirt are not a good way to go. And yes, two guys taking the CFAT with me were dressed that way.
This is a job interview only for a job that requires you to protect lives and work around guns and explosives. How are they going to think you'll respect that level of responsibility of you can't even make an effort to dress yourself in the morning?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place with friendly staff. They will help you with every step along the way. It's a long process yes but try applying anywhere else in the government and it'll take you even way longer. The wait is definitely worth it and once you are in, you can only go higher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went last week to do my CFAT and the staff were very nice. The place is pretty nice and I recommend adding some PS5s or expensive gaming rigs to the lobby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff were all helpful, and my CFAT appointment went smoothly. I was given clear instructions on how to proceed with my application.
My only complaint (unrelated to this recruiting detachment?) was that the ECFAT was absolutely fried for some reason. The demo videos would randomly pixelate, and ran at a solid 2 frames per second.
