★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the absolute worst company to deal with, ive spent hours and days on the phone with them, they dont pass information along so I have to explain myself everytime i call in, you wait long times to talk with someone that cant help you, they say the will call you back and that doesnt happen. They try everything in their power to not pay out. They are an extremeley dishonest company. Avoid them at all costs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Without warning cancelled my benefits plan in my last semester of school, although I did not participate as a full time student in my last semester, I was not given the opportunity to purchase an extension, I have diabetes and it's extremely expensive to buy supplies. I have contacted them and there has been no response would not recommend using them

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For anyone considering this company, know this; they will direct you to a short audio file informing you of the consequences of reporting false information. Once you are done with the audio they will ask you many, many, difficult questions with regards your medical history, one of which the agent had to look up herself in order to explain what it was to me when I asked... There was no way I could answer accurately because I have not kept a log of every visit to the hospital or even any details and yet the whole conversation is recorded so it left me uneasy in the event I left out some details. I hope someone in this company is paying attention because there is a very simple way to pass go for your potential clients and that is a simple saliva test and perhaps some questions like, do you smoke? How much alcohol do you consume in a given period, recreational drugs? etc. I hope this helps potential clients to do homework and know your medical history before applying, otherwise you might find yourself denied coverage way down the road if you ever file a claim. It wasn't for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I filed a claim before my benefits expired and the keep giving me different excuses every time i phone them so they don't have to pay out the benefits I am entitled to. They owe me $400. I reported them to the Better business bureau.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What they have put me through is horrendous. And I am forced to pay premiums while actually receiving disability as well, which seems backwards. Nightmare company to deal with. Canada Life has caused my disabities to significantly worsen and they refuse to treat you like a human being.
