We stayed at the Camping Domaine des Cedres for the long week-end and it was amazing ! We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and everyone loved it. The staff is super helpful and friendly, the site itself it absolutely gorgeous and clean. We stayed at P13 which is right in font of the water which was pretty cool because we would wake up in the morning, play some beach volley ball while the kids would chase some little baby turtles then we'd go in the river to clean off the sand. One thing to note is the sites near the water are all sand (beachfront) therefore you cannot bring your vehicle to the tent. We were not aware and we had a looooot of stuff and I was a little worried but the staff was super nice and they actually helped us to load and unload our stuff with their ATV. All in all, it was a great experience. I will definitely go back. Un gros merci a Pauline à la reception pour son attention aux détails et sa gentillesse. Un gros merci a Olivier pour avoir le coeur sur la main. Merci a Mathieu et un autre monsieur de nos avoir aider a ramener nos choses au véhicule. Ricky

I’ve only been camping here once, but I would go back again. This is the perfect place for people who own an RV or trailer. It’s cool if you bring a tent too. I wouldn’t call it deep woods camping, but there are a few sites that are relatively private, parted by some trees. The community has an awesome vibe. People are easy to talk to and joke around with. Many rent their spot for the whole season and have a GORGEOUS site that I wish I had taken pictures of – fancy fire pits, huge gazebos, private outdoor shower booths, pretty little fences, beautiful flower gardens, etc. Lots of families with children and dogs. There are raffles and DJ-provided dance nights for adults. Canoeing, fishing, raspberry picking, and many other activities. Tons of games for the kids during the day, besides the big park and huge beach, where you can get your own space without having people laying right next to you. Special section for dogs on the river, which by the way, has a decent current that will carry you softly downstream. Good for resistance training! The sand is clean and goes pretty deep into the water, no rocks. Also, if you really love the beach and have a really good parasol for the sun, you can actually camp right out on the beach, fire pit and all! Bathrooms were clean with the occasional bug here and there, but exceptional, considering these are campsite bathrooms. Warm showers for 1 dollar that last long enough to get a fine cleanse. Washers and dryers for people to do laundry (also 1$ I think). Absolutely everything is walking distance – very convenient. The reception carries several goodies and essentials, in case of emergency, but if you can’t find what you are looking for, there is a grocery store nearby called Alimentation Brébeuf. The store is 2 minutes away by car, but you could definitely walk there, if you aren’t planning on carrying too much. There are also several antique shops nearby that are wonderful to visit – you may find the treasure you’ve always been missing. Last but not least, the campground is a mom-and-pop type business, owned by a lovely young family. The owners were friendly, approachable, informative, and accommodating. They were also perfectly bilingual. They work hard and take good care of their campground. We experienced a flood as well as some of the other people who have posted reviews. The owners personally helped us move our tents and all of our stuff to another site, using their pick-up truck and gator trucks. Our original site (and the surrounding area) must have had nearly a foot of water, but we were really happy with the spot to which we were relocated. They offered us a refund if we wanted to leave, but we really wanted to stay. They also helped move other campers to better sites. I'm really surprised by the negative comments.

These people are the best, we had this huge rising water crisis and they worked all night helping us move, and I feel like I sort of really bonded with the owners, I appreciate they now my name too, in a good way. I would recommend this place above so many places. Anyone saying there is a 11pm bedtime doesn't know what they are talking about. Every camp ground closes the doors to not let people in or out at the same time I've seen. But you can run your fire all day and night and be up and go swimming here - even though other camps you can not.

Pros: amazing wide sandy beach on the rouge river. Absolute perfection, and the water is superb. Also they operate a little pizzeria which is GREAT for a quick meal if you wanna be lazy. Cons: a bit crowded, facilities good but not exceptional, and the wifi hotspot stinks.

Beach and dog beach are great! Staff friendly. The downside is that the online map leads you to believe it's bigger than it is. The sites are on top of each other. No privacy.

Beautiful place lots of sand beach. Fire pits on sand in front of your lot.Bathrooms were a bit far from lot. Only one shower gor entire campground and water only sprinkled out for first part of shower so another $1 required to get soap off.

A very nicely located camping site that offers all amenities for a relaxing getaway. Playground for the kids and for grown ups, a great sandy beach, with beach volleyball and soccer fields, and lots of organized activities including fishing or canoeing, to keep you occupied. A fire pit is available at every lot, and all the people we met were very friendly and outgoing. At the entrance of the camping apart from wood for your fire pit, you can buy a very tasty pizza if you dont feel like cooking. Finally you can enjoy a quite night walk under the stars and visit the beautiful "light forest" (I call it this as I don't remember its official name) I wish will have the opportunity it to go there again next year, and why not for the entire season. Great work Camping Domaine de Cèdres!

Camping itself is ok but not the best (3-3.5 stars). But the owner could not and didn't want resolve problems (1 star) so the total = 2. There was a flood from the nearest lake. The owner proposed us one free night in the future but ordered not to return us money for that. So if we're not agree - come on guys, please keep calm and sleep in the water (still coming) with your kids. The owner just escaped from problems. Naturally, he has gone without any explanation and discussion. Our friends could get their money back for 1 night (their places were totally under water, ~10 cm or more). But, as I said, the owner prohibited to reimburse us at all because not the whole(!) our place was under water at the moment (water was still coming). BTW, we have lost our oak, wood, some food, tents of our friends were wet. Of course, it's not their fault BUT the only one reaction was - "it's the first time during past 17 years". Great empathy, eh? Would you like to support this kind of "business"? Everyone has his own head but we will never go to the camping again. There are better campings in Quebec.
