About Calgary South West United Soccer Club

Calgary SW United Soccer Club is dedicated to our member’s success, & volunteers. Our reputation is a fun, accessible soccer center for all ages and skill level.

As one of the longest-standing soccer clubs in our ever-growing beautiful city, we are proud to continue to offer a program for every skill and competition level available.

With a brand new state-of-the-art training facility, new bridges have been built. Starting from the ground up with our Grassroots program for ages 3 – 12-year-olds, it continues through the next stages of development with a competitive program that is offered to ages 8 – 18 years old. With our continued club growth we also field teams in the Men’s and Women’s leagues which then completes a full-circle program that we are known for and proud of.

Calgary SWU has been serving Calgary communities since 2003. Our Technical curriculum creates a relevant, coherent, and engaging environment for all players, parents, and coaches.

The Academy provides quantifiable standards for measuring coach and player performance and promotes the four pillars of player growth: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological.

Calgary South West United (SWU) is a Calgary-based youth soccer club. Soccer is our passion; it’s not only what we do but also who we ARE. Our goal is to make this great game of soccer accessible to all families who want their child or children to develop their skills and abilities. We create a fun, safe, inclusive environment for all our players.

The true success of our club is its people. It is due to the dedication and passion of our staff, Board of Directors, volunteers, and parent members that SWU has a reputation for being fun and accessible for children of all ages and skill levels.

One year ago I was approached to partner with Calgary Southwest United to establish a healthcare facility within their indoor training facility. This was to meet the requirements of their newly acquired National Youth License. After meeting with them several times, I was very comfortable with undertaking this project. Fast forward a year later; I am extremely happy with this partnership. I have found working with CSWU very professional and feel they are a very forward thinking soccer association. I appreciate their vision of 'Soccer For Life' and have found their soccer directors EXCELLENT. I am proud to be part of this organization.

Nice facility! Although it gets very hard to throw a football with the posts in the way on the field.

I appreciate the coaches and the attention to my children and their development, rather than just trying to be the biggest club in the city. We have not regretted moving to this club.

Way better than Foothills Soccer. We have played for Foothills soccer for a while now, and we finally decided to switch to SWU which was the best idea ever! At Foothills teams have probably minimum of 16 players and max 20. There my daughter probably only got 10 minutes MAX of playing time at Foothills (where fees were also significantly higher). At our switch to SWU, my daughter's team probably only have around 12-15 kids. She gets to play for a least half of the game, gets arguably better coaching quality, all at which a lower fee. Most amazing club, every player and coach are kind (unlike Foothills soccer). My daughter probably has never excelled so much at the sport in a single season as well as had so much fun!

Both my daughters are currently playing here and are very happy with the individual attention and variety of opportunities they are getting. We love that their individual development is treated as more important than the success of teams and that skill and understanding the game is valued over physical play. They are also getting a lot of help with opportunities to play beyond minor soccer and are inspired by the many successful female players that have been developed by SWU.
