We contracted Bilal to custom make a cross-sectional and to upholster a recliner. He helped us pick our fabric and delivered quality products in a timely fashion. Bilal and his crew were knowledgeable, hardworking and professional. We highly recommend him.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Calgary Magic Upholstery and the incredible gentleman that run it. I was given a few antique mid-century modern chairs from an older friend which I loved but needed reupholstered. I called around and was given some very high quotes that I just couldn’t afford. I spoke with Bebel (I believe the owner) and he was very kind and professional. He gave me a more approachable quote and told me to come and look at fabrics. As soon as we came in, we were greeted with a smile (underneath a mask but you can still tell) he was patient as we looked through his many choices for fabric until we found the perfect two. My first chair fabric came faster and Bebel and the team got in done in a short time, I was SO excited to go pick it up but also nervous. As soon as my mom and I walked in we almost fell over, the chair was INCREDIBLE! They had done such an amazing job and now I have a chair that I will have for the rest of my life! I will NEVER go anywhere else if I need something reupholstered and have already told a bunch of friends about this place. Bilal and his crew did a fantastic job of spring repair and cushion replacement for our 30 year old soft edge sofa. The quote we received was very reasonable especially when compared to other companies. The repair was done very quickly and we are very happy with the work they did. We would highly recommend them. I originally replied to their Marketplace add. I Sent photos with a clear explanation of the job. They discussed pricing with me online and I agreed. I then went to the store to discuss as well before taking out the seats. I wanted to see the facility and make sure everyone understood the job, check samples etc. I then messaged again and asked if it was still ok to bring them as I’m out of town. I discussed the pricing one last time just to be certain. I didn’t want to remove the seats, drive there and then have a misunderstanding. They then quoted me me over double the original price with the same material. They wouldn’t honour the original quote. Be very careful if you choose to do business with them. Even when you have it in writing it still isn’t enough. They will Magically change the price.

Belal made my 17 year old sofa set and chairs looking brand new the dining chairs are even more comfortable than the new I highly recommend them

Buyers be Aware! Don't be fooled by their low re-upholstery labour charges, they have other hidden charges that are much higher than competitors. We had 3-recliner chairs we were hoping to have re-upholstered and were quoted $350/each, plus $125 for pick and delivery. Their material prices were ridiculously high so we decided to shop around and provided our own material. Unfortunately they picked up the charis just before I got home from work and called them immediately when I noticed their vehicle leaving around the corner. Instantly they told me it was going to another $200/each chair to replace the foam and that was nonnegotiable. We were caught off guard and decided to shop around. We found others charging around $60-$75 to replace the foam and $75 pick/delivery. When we decided to go with another company these guys wanted us to pay them $75 for pick up to have the chairs released. Top of everything else owner's English was limited and communication became extremely difficult. We felt stuck and decided to only do 2 of the 3 chairs to stay within budget, hoping they would do a good job even though they have extremely bad business practices. First time we went to look at the re-upholstered chairs they decided to add on silver buttons, which were not asked, to cover the workmanship flaws. When the chairs got delivered I complained to them about the way they handled the whole thing and they left extremely upset and decided to drive on my neighbour's lawn on the way out; had I taken a photo, I would have posted it. It's only been two days and we are already seeing signs of poor workmanship (see photo), which they will obviously not repair due to our broken relationship. If you're thinking of dealing with this company, think twice.
