Had a wonderful time living in the White Haven Manor. Awesome property management, great location and really lovely, updated suites. We had nothing but good times renting from them! Always quick to answer.

Great experience except for the awful party people on my floor... EVERY weekend its screaming and yelling and clouds of pot smoke in the halls and in my unit. I get it, its legal... but it reeks to high heaven and makes me nauseous immediately. The lease says this is not allowed and this should not be happening at all. Otherwise great place to be.

From the moment I learned that someone else (the property manager) has a key to my apartment, I knew CPH was not for me. Every month (or more often), I get a notice on my door about some maintenance that is being done on the building. It always ends in β€œWe appreciate your cooperation in this matter” and β€œWe apologize for any inconvenience” or something of the like. I understand living in a building built specifically for people who have mental health issues has challenges. However, the man on the second floor is constantly screaming and pounding on walls in his apartment. After threatening to kill a lady on the said floor, the police were called and they sympathized to his condition. He still lives here. Most of the tenants are on AISH and rent is cheap so long as we do not work. If we do work, we pay 30% of our total income to the building. This discourages us to work or even consider doing so. The social worker here reacts negatively to complaints of other tenants. I have invested too much in this property to be treated the way I am being treated here. For those in CPH reading this, do not worry as I plan to move out as soon as humanly possible. My condolences to someone else has to live in my apartment when I leave. Good luck dealing with CPH and their Gestapo tactics.

You don't ever want to own property near their rental units. Their tenants are savages and expect everyone to clean up after them. Any other landlord in the city would be forced to clean up and fined, however, not Calgary Housing Authority. They wait for the neighbours to report them to 311 (their governing body). This organization is a serious joke. I have tried everything from contacting them directly to 311 to my district counsellor. Disgusting.

They need to do regular inspections and security patrols of their properties, apparently no on-site manager. Their tenants don't care about the neighborhood. There is a saying that one never appreciates something that is handed out to them and this is a case in point - even though many of the tenants drive expensive cars. One tenant is a unit nearby butts his cigarettes out on the vinyl siding. The photo below has been like this for a long while. That's the kind of places they operate.
