R	Rob Speers on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been too many of the Calgary Highland games. This year seemed smaller and more expensive. No Knights or Viking villages. Why are they not invited any more? There is nothing for young kids to do. There is a playground at the far east end of the venue, but your away from the main games area. There needs to be something in the main games area for kids such as bouncy castles. We had no problems finding the parking and shuttle bus areas.
D	Dan R on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive, poor organization/planning. There was nowhere to park, I looked for signs, but could not see any from the road. We parked on the road along with many (100+) vehicles. We later found out this was not allowed and we risked getting a ticket. Some traffic marshals and bigger signs would have helped. Even in the grounds we had trouble locating events because there were no signs or maps.
J	John Milburn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived near the beginning so we saw most of the heavy events and were very impressed. It couldn't be helped that we missed a lot of the dance and individual pipe events although we did see several of the pipe bands strut their stuff. The food trucks provided a variety of food and drinks . The weather didn't cooperate but we were able to see many of the heavy avents and of course the massed bands as the finaly. It was well worth the slight discomfort provided by mother nature and will definitely be there for next year.
