Caken Me Crazy

Ara is your dream baker! She did an absolutely outstanding job of my wedding cake this summer. Not only is she so kind and helpful but she can honestly do anything. We had a three tier cake and each layer was a different flavour - espresso chocolate ganache, white chocolate rasberries and whip cream & cookies and cream (Oreo) top. Wedding cakes are often not memorable for guests but we have recieved so many messages specifically praising her work. In addition, she made fabulous stuffed croissants and small cookies which were also a huge hit with the guests. Would highly recommend her work, it was a joy working with her.

Absolutely Beautiful Unicorn Cake with a stunning rainbow filling ? It is definitely going to be a lasting memory for my daughter! Thank you so much again we loved it!!

Had a very special Valentine’s Day with this delicious cake. So creamy and tasty. I have never had such a yummy red velvet cake before . Loved it !!

If I could leave 100 stars, I would. Ara made the wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding in October 2019. She was absolutely amazing to work with. She was attentive to my vision and very detail-orientated. She knows cakes better than anyone I've ever met and is so passionate about what she does. She delivered exactly what we were asking for and more. Late October is not a great time for sourcing Dahlia or figs, she went the extra mile to make it happen for me. She also literally went the extra mile and delivered to our out of town location, constructing part of the cake on site. We got married in a cabin in the woods, which meant a bumpy ride to get there. The result was flawless. Honestly, when we ordered the cake and cupcakes, the visual appeal was most important to me. I had an idea in my head of what I wanted it to look like, and Ara was more than accommodating. What I didn't expect was how amazing it would taste! My husband and I still talk about how delicious the cake was and how we wish we could go back and eat it all over again. We ate from the cake for days after. I wanted to wait to get our wedding photos back before posting this review. Sometimes a picture is worth more than words could say. I can't recommend Caken Me Crazy enough, the whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. Thanks for everything Ara!

Regarding Ms. Deneen Murphy's review, I am the employee who served Ms. Murphy at Caken Me Crazy. Ms. Murphy misunderstood the conversation she heard from the back of the bakery, between me and my employer. I was not red faced as indicated. I was apologetic because I was discussing the special order Ms. Murphy requested, Pavlova, which was a time sensitive order to add to our scheduled work day. Had my boss allowed the order, it would have put undue stress and overworked her bakers and staff. The owners care about the quality of product as well as the quality of the workday her staff experiences. After the discussion, "No", had to be the response to Ms. Murphy's request and therefore unable to assist with the product she required. I wish to add that Caken Me Crazy is the most supportive and fun environment in all my work experience.

OK, I cannot believe I’m even having to leave a review like this and it saddens me… I simply went in and asked if they make Pavlova and one of the employees went in the back kitchen to ask if they would make a Pavlova for me. I heard the owner yell “no it’s not on my menu! And I am not going to argue about this!!” Employee returned very humbly with a red-faced and apologized that they could not make one. I felt so bad for the employee… I could not believe how rude and horrible the owner was! I told the employee that I will never buy so much as a cinnamon bun from this establishment simply because of the way I heard her speak to her employee! A simple “no we are unable to do this“ would have sufficed. Her response was absolutely atrocious! Unprofessional and atrocious. I’m still shocked and astounded..I would like to add that EVERY other business I inquired has suggested I go to this company! And the ones that have suggested I go there SINCE, I have told them about this experience! Edit : to Sheila, The extremely sweet and wonderful employee who has responded to me. You are just as sweet in your response as you were in person. You were indeed very flushed and embarrassed after being yelled at by your boss. I understand that you are defending your boss and your job. Very very sweet of you to respond on her behalf but you do know as well as I do that she absolutely DID yell at you and I did not send you back to ask you guys to make anything that was not on your menu. It was your idea to go back and just simply ask if you could make a Pavlova meringue for me. It was NOT a request that I made. I think it’s very kind of you to try to defend your boss. It just shows your character. You were very sweet in person and it just shows that you really are a very good employee coming to her defence here publicly. She is very blessed to have you! She doesn’t deserve you but she’s blessed to have you.

Ara is next door to my business, and we definitely won the lottery having her move to our block. We enjoy all her pastries, cupcakes, and cakes. She makes amazing creations. Her staff are also fabulous. I highly recommend checking out the new location, and enjoying a treat. If I could I would leave 100 stars. Great customer services all around.

Ada is amazing, and a dream baker. Ive been a customer for many years, and my girlfriends & I just had the pleasure of spending a evening with Ara getting a class on cake decorating. We had a blast, we had so much fun and laughs. I highly recommend Ara for all your baking needs from cupcakes-muffins-pastries- to all her beautiful cakes. You will never be disappointed at Caken Me Crazy❤️❤️❤️❤️
