★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small little place with amazing bun bo hue!!! It's different from the ones I've had before, this one has a lighter broth but comes with a bunch of toppings including pork balls, pig feet, and duck blood. You know a place is good when they only have 9 items on the menu!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been several times to Cafe Xu Hue. Most people come for their specialty, BBH, but their other bowls are tasty too.
Most recent visit was on a Thursday for lunch. First time there’s never been a wait!
We both ordered the bun bo hue dac biet (#4) ($13.00). Good depth and flavour to the broth. Wouldn’t say it’s overly spicy but good variety of meats.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best Bun Bo Hue in Burnaby (when I take it to go). Just don’t go on Wednesday’s, you’ll be disappointed. And don’t ask what’s in it, just eat and enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Possibly my favorite meal out of my whole week in Vancouver. It is difficult to find a good bowl of bun bo hue and this was one of the best I've had in North America. The broth was clear, light and flavorful without any added artificial food coloring. It was rather spicy which was perfect for my taste buds. The bowl was full of toppings - blood cake, cha que, beef, pig trotter. Also loved their banh bot loc - the skin was chewy and the filling was delicious.
Highly recommend if you are a bun bo hue fanatic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty good pho place, the Bon Bo Hue is very authentic as in it has all the traditional ingredients like pork hog, pork blod etc. Broth is flavourful too. Banh mi is not bad either, I wish there's more pickled vegetables in there. My favorite is the salad roll, the peanut dip is very yummy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always judge Pho restaurants by one dish. Bun bo Hue. This dish ultimately is the deciding factor on whether we return for a repeat visit..or if we continue the search.
I have RETURNED!!
The right amount of heat in this stock, not overly rich and with the right amount of chili flakes which make you cautious of reckless slurping of the thick noodles.
Coughing and watering eyes when said chili flakes go down the wrong passageway? not as uncommon as you may think!
A real piece of pork hock and pork blood brings authenticity to this dish! No fakeouts in this Bun bo Hue.
#4 item on the menu followed by a #2 cold cut Banh Mi sandwich completes the meal nicely...don't forget to ask for the hot pepper for the Banh Mi, mine didn't have it so a little disappointed with that.
All things considered...I will return, repeatedly for this whenever time allows.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I enjoy my lunch at this place as it is well known by my Vietnamese’s friends who live around burnaby area. Tasty soup.
I like the drink very much because it is not just water. I am not sure what it is but I believe must be some kind of good tea. Also they served me in a perfect temperature. You would never burned your tough at this restaurant. Very impressive.
